so I have looked for the watch I want in many places but have yet to find exactly what I desire, so here is a description of what I would put in a watch if I were designing it. most of my criteria have to do with my desire to have a watch that is the most functional for me when I'm at my job. I'm a graduate student working in biochemistry and I do experiments all day and my watch is my timer for most of experiments. I have a digital desk timer but its inconvenient to carry around clipped to my pants pocket. Also having my "timer" on my wrist has saved my experiments on many occasions. I will be working at my computer, look at my wrist and be reminded that I have to go check my experiment. so without further delay here is what I want in a watch 1) have a diver bezel with minute marking around the entire bezel (think reef ranger or marathon GSAR) 2) be a chronograph with seconds, (60) minute and hour subregisters, they have to have very clear markings for the units (like a CSAR) 3) larger the better (~44mm) 4) pushers and crown on the left hand side (I'm left handed, much like the Sinn U1000) 4.5) I want the pushers to waterproof and not screw down type (like sinn u1000) 5) all markings need to be clear and easy to read (like the CSAR) 6) some sort of lume (tritium would be the best, luminox is fine too) 7) strap or bracelet is fine (the cave dweller bracelet is beautiful) I dont dive so water resistance to 1000m is not necessary, but I want it to survive the pool or ocean shallows As far as the movement goes automatic would be nice but also more costly evne if its sexier. Quartz is more affordable and more accurate. I'm still torn on this part. Well thats what I need, the Sinn U1000 looks like a perfect fit but I cannot afford 4600, the CSAR is sweet too but I cant afford 2700 and it has the 30min sub register, which I find annoying. well Anders, Boschett feel like designing something new? for your scientist crowd? btw I love my divergraph and am currently lusting after a Cave Dweller or the 3t limited RF

Would this foot the bill? http://www.graham-london.com/collection/chronofighteroversizediver.en.html Other than more expensive than the Sinn. Automatic, all minutes marked on rotating bezel, pushers on left, and BIG! Last edited on Sun Feb 22nd, 2009 08:43 pm by DannyOcean |

if the crown and pushers were on the right side, a used aquagraph would work. about 1300.00 used.
