what exactly does the "no RAD" symbol on my PRS 50 stand for?? My understanding is that the luminous material does not contain radiation ahla the Panny Radomir??????????? |

Newer lume materials are based on chemical compounds that absorb light and then slowly release it. Other lumes were based on radium(before ~1970) and then later tritium both radioactive elements. Tritium still in use that what the T in T-Swiss-T markings means. |

So that means the symbol is to denote a radioactive material "was" used or not?? |

yes Tony....that is a "no radiation symbol" it indicates the luminescent not to be radioactive...below is the description from the origianl Blancpain: hand6.gif The important characteristic of this watch is the no radiation symbol indicating the luminiscent not to be radioactive. |
