Been looking for my birth year watch for a while now and saw a lot of Omegas.
Found a Glycine Airman 1968 last week, put a bid in, got outbid, watched it all the way and got pulled into a meeting before the auction ended and missed the close!
Sold for under £250

Something a little funny looking about that Glycine Airman....to the best of my knowledge, the original Airman had a locking knob at the 0800 hrs position to lock down the rotating bezel...it is either missing here or it is a fake...although, except for that, it looks genuine.  The price @ L250 seems very low.  jmho

Yeah...I don't think those oem lock-down screws are available, however, you could check on the WUS Glycine forum...also, they may have a lead on a vintage Airman...it is a great watch that shas served me well!

Hey Ken, just out of curiosity, What's the service record on the Glycine? Everything still original? I reckon that watch is darn near old as me!;)

My vintage Glycine Airman has never been serviced...all original (except for bracelet) and keeps excellent time!

Nice piece, good luck finding a good one. Interesting idea of finding a birth year watch. I looked and found one for me.
