Hi Everybody! Long time reader first time poster. I have an Orsa Monstrum with a Miyota movement that I really enjoy wearing. One of my favorite 'features', if you would call it that, is that the movement can very clearly be heard ratcheting, spinning, and it wobbles when I wear it. Being an admirer of most things mechanical are there any other movements that are noisy or have any other 'quirky' characteristics newer or vintage? Thanks, Cliff |

The eta 7750 series is known for the "wobble" that can be felt on the wrist as the rotor spins and the Unitas movements (6497/8) have a distinct tick. |

The old Gallet Chrono I have has a very pronounced tick to it. Even at armslength I can hear the watch ticking. I like the sound of it for sure! |

I always enjoy the ticking of a good hand cranking 6498/6497. One watch with has a very distinctive sound to it is my Dievas Vintage Flieger Time with vintage ETA 2452 with ticks away at a leisurely 18,000bps.:cool: I have found a number of my Miyota movements are very "active" and make quite some noise... which is music to my ears.:D |

I have a couple of Molnja handcrankers that are loud enough to hear sitting on the nightstand from about ten feet away. Had people in conference rooms during meetings ask what that ticking sound is. |

Thanks for the input everybody! Would the Asian 6497/8 exhibit the same 'characteristics' as the Swiss 6497/8? I have also read that some of the Seiko and Citizen movements can be noisy as well. Cliff |

A valjoux 7751 makes some serious noise. I kind of like it that way. You can even feel the rotor moving while on the wrist,my boyfriend tells me it is sooooo cool. A puw 1564 also makes noise. It also has a very nice ticking sound. |

I also have lots of Seikos, both new and vintage, and they don't make any noise that can be discernable at all. These are 7S26, 7S27 and even a few S36 movements. They are all so quiet. Edgel's right...the 7750 wobbles and you can feel the movements/sensations like a twirling top on your wrist. I haven't really heard about the Asian Unitas but I read on 3T about the Asian ETAs. |

My noisiest watch by far is the Steinhausen Tourbillon. Reminds me of my old cheap Timex alarm clock I had on my bedside table as a kid! Quite enjoyable, though.... |

I find the 7750 in my Brietling Chronomat very noisy and you can really feel the movement when you wear it on your wrist. |

Well, I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other, so I can't comment on sound...but I do love the "wobble" of the Val 7750 series movements. |
