I traded a TSAR for this watch a month or so ago off another forum, never really looked at the serial# before, I was going through some pics tonight and saw one of the back of this watch that caught my attention...so I pulled it out to take a closer look and sure enough it is serial# 1/520....it appears I may have gotten lucky  party.gif

Unfortunately, that does not mean that you have the first of the series. My JSAR ser # is 1/00441 of the same month/year. That means that the "1" in question most likely stands for, "1 of" or "1 unit", which means I have the 441st of the Nov 2007 batch run, while you have the 520th.

It's not unusual for LE or Military Equipment to have a "1/000" or a "one of" factored in their serial numbers, for contract tracking purposes.

well I don't think I've seen one with a #/#..I'll have to have another look at mine now.

This site has a break down of the number codes on the case back from the 2001 run of the SAR...I don't know where to find codes for JSAR or GSAR or if they changed with different yearly productions runs.

I also have a JSAR, November 2007 with serial number 1.  Mine is "Ser1/00651"  I was wondering if they (Marathon) have different "batches" of watches during the same year?
