Bought a Seiko Pepsi 200 m auto, equivalent to an SKX009 or 175 in a small jewelry store in AZ about 2 months ago. Beautiful watch and chose this one because it had the jubilee bracelet. Price was less than $100. No box no papers, except the receipt. The watch was stunning, I thought I had made the deal of the century, trusted the shop owner because he said that he got them in a special deal in a country from the Pacific. I washed my car one day while wearing it and it fogged-up (200 m?). I scutinized the watch on the Internet to see if it was an obvious fake. No, to my surprise it looked all legit. Went to jeweler and complained and he gave me another one saying that maybe the gaskets had dried. The second watch IS a fake. The capricious shapes close to the crown are not curved, they are rectangular. I have tried to locate the watch or something like it in case shape on the net and have not seen one. My question is, this watch is much too well put together to be just any fake, the bezel is precise although only 60 clicks, the crown super, the dial has no flaw, the only things that give it away are the angular shapes between the lug close to 5 and 4 instead of the curved shapes. Any comment on this? It is a bit slow, about 2 minutes a day but the lume is super bright and the back cover seems right when compared with net pics. The Jubilee is not solid link. There are allot of very well made fakes out there and they are not just faking high end anymore. Seiko recently seems to be getting faked allot. And they have some very well made stuff coming out of Southeast Asia. Stuff so good it is fooling some of the Jewelers who have been at it for awhile. You just have to be very careful. But if you have not already you may want to let the shop owner know that you feel sure it is a fake and he should check the rest of his inventory.

can't tell much from that pic but you can buy a Seiko SKX009 for $150. and less from many reputable vendors on the web hand6.gif
