Hi everyone. I've been watching this on the bay for a few days now, wondering if I should just pick it up as a comfortably, unobtrusive watch on those days I can't be bothered to choose one. It's going at quite a decent price, all up under USD50 (if I count the fabric strap below) shipped to my door here in Singapore.  According too the post, it's a "Gruen Precision" quartz with military dial. Specs
 Anybody here with any opinions? Hope it doesn't turn out to be a junker that struggles to get through 1 year without incident. The case looks to be a coated steel, which I prefer to the plastic black ones on certain military models. Thanks for your opinions in advance. Jonathan |

Jonathan, just my opinion: the dial is a good one and the hour hand very streamlined. The only thing not good about this potential choice of yours is that it's quartz. Maybe I'd wait a little more, save a little more and get an automatic one. For US$150, you can snag a Seiko tool watch that can last you an easy 30 years.:D |

Unfortunately I already have 3 7S26 military styles! My quibble is that they are not ready to pick and go, and not being handwound, I have to swirl them a fair bit to make sure they have enough juice to get through the day. Sometimes I take my watch off at work. That being said, they're reliable. Had them for over 5 years now with no issues. |

I agree with Pax... at $50, anything that looks cool on an impulse is good to grab! I like that strap picture you posted a lot, too... will have to check it out! Chris |
