Ok...so I don't own a GMT timepiece (yet), but I think I understand the concept of how the second time zone is supposed to work. This Fortis GMT dial's markings have me a bit confused??? Moving on the dial from inside to outside... 1) standard hour markers 2) then standard minute markers 3) then ???...I don't understand functionally how this works...the numbers are a 24 hr dial starting at the Bottom of the dial going clockwise. 4) then the bezel markers with 24 hour indicators The 3rd one has me confused...anyone know how this is supposed to work?? this is a 3 time zone GMT...which allows you to track 3 time zones by using the GMT hand,bezel and watch hands hand6.gif |

Stew in the picture the black hand with the orange arrow tip is the GMT hand. I t can be sent independently of the hour hand. In the pic, it is set to a timezone two hours ahead of the watches time. The bezel when in its default position shows the corresponding AM/PM time of the watch (the 24 hr flange used by the GMT hand) in 24 hour format. It can be moved to track a third timezone of the user's choosing of course. As a B-42 Marinemaster owner myself I think I have a feeling where you are headed. And if I am right in my thinking, I say the GMT B-42 just plain kicks butt. Am I right??  |

Pax...thanks for the detailed explanation... ...and as far as where I'm headed...you are absolutely correct!!!!:)...Once you own one of these Fortis B-42 models (... can't seem to get my newly acquired MarineMaster off my wrist this week), you really just fall in love with the spectacular design and legibility of the Fortis B-42 line.
