Wow, Simon. You are something else. I have limited knowledge on pocket watches and all I know is that Waltham is good and really reliable. My grandfather gave me one a long time ago but had to give it back because i was afraid i would wreck it. It even had a gold chain and all. Kudos on a distinctive collectionyourock.gif. I can't say wear them in good health ![]() ![]() |

Buddy, I presume you've taken to wearing a vest every day and placing your treasures in the appropriate pocket?? Very cool, Simon! :dude: |

Thank you for the kind comments. However, I do wear them but not with a vest. ![]() I carefully place one of them in the inner pocket of my suit. I'll be sending close-up pics detailing each movement, from the collection...stay tuned. Last edited on Fri Jul 17th, 2009 12:12 pm by Simon_Leung |

The line on the dial on the Omega pocketwatch is not a hairline fracture on the porcelain dial. It was a pen mark that couldn't be removed. Update: As of September 2009 I will be a member of the NAWCC local 121, here in Vancouver, B.C. |

Hello Shady, There is an Elgin database that is available online. As you've probably noticed on the images of every pocket watch that were posted there are a series of numbers. These are the serial numbers that tell exactly as to what year a particular watch was assembled. Just copy and paste the link below. http://elginwatches.org/databases/ Good luck. Cheers, Simon Last edited on Fri Jul 24th, 2009 01:10 am by Simon_Leung |
