Where do you buy your watches? Most recently I have bought online, but have a local dealer that will match prices if possible with online. Unfortunately they stock a very limited number of watch lines. I have looked in the malls at large jewelry stores, but have not purchased there.

I have not bought a used watch yet, as I am afraid of getting a replica where as online with a popular shopping website like Amazon or Jomashop I feel relatively safe that I won't get a knock off. In fact I trust Amazon a little more than a jeweler I ran into last weekend...

I've had good experiences with sites like Amazon.  Ebay can also be good - if you're careful!  I'd avoid Craigslist and things like that - too many fakes and scams.
If you live in the States, I'd also recommend checking out your local TJ Maxx - they often have great watches at relatively low prices. hand6.gif

Thanks Watchguru for the information on TJ Maxx, I really appreciate it as I was unaware I could get a watch bargain there.  thankyou.gif  My wife shops there so the next time she heads to TJ Maxx I think I'll tag along and check out the watches.  subtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif

Whenever I'm stateside, I get through the internet direct from the company.

But most of my watches are bought from various cities in Asia.  I get better prices in Asia. I always make it a point to handle the watch before I buy it and get to know the dealer really well. I try to develop a long term relationship always.

I have a watch collector who sells
direct locally,whenever I needed.

I work in retail,I can't buy the new watches
from the display case. If I were to buy a
Longines or a Rado,I have to order it and
pay with credit card.

To me vintage and antique watches are a lot
more fun to own.

Cheers,
Simon
