I went through the archives, and feel this is a new question regarding this maker (As I go thourgh a rather long and ponderous path deciding and saving for my next watch purchase): What do you like about Rado and what don't you like? Do you own one, and if so what one - and again what do you like about it? I am quite attracted to the use of their coatings and ceramics as I work with equipment that sometimes is used to make the coatings and ceramic materials, so there is some professional attraction there. Also ... there is 1 store locally that carries them, but I saw huge discounts online, and having never bought anything like that online, what do you recommend as far as purchasing, if it comes to that?

I own 5 and love them...scratchproof tungsten cases and a proprietary saph crystal that can not be damaged by normal wear not to mention a true Swis brand with a heritage...if you use the 3T search engine you'll find plenty discussionhand6.gif

Heh ... just picked up my first ... Diastar "L" size (not "XL" because although it sports a smaller dial than is popular, the proportions were just about perfect - and I preferred the straight band to the taper. I loved the ceramic watches, but nothing looked as good on my wrist as the Diastar! And what a sleeper - you hear next to nothing about it. The Sales Associate told me they didn't tell too many of those despite it being one of the least expensive ones. (I put a picture under the "new Arrivals" topic.)

I have had one of the cupola watches for 10+ years. Absolutely a keeper. Even though it's quartz and by today's standard a "small" watch at @ 35mm. It is clean light and seemingly indestructable..
