My advice is as solid as most of the gents on this thread have already given: go Rolex Sub. You will never go wrong. Yes, it may appreciate over time faster than many other brands out there but the joy of owning it is that the Sub is just simply virtually indestructible even if you purposely try to break it down, you simply can't. So reliable, so accurate and so much a true classic.

I gave up on Omega about 5 or 6 years ago. They don't seem to make them as good as they used to and I can only conclude that the vintage or older ones are simply just better made.

I ditto every word!hand6.gif

First off I want to say thankyou.gif to everybody for the well wishes. This will be our second official year of marriage, but our first anniversary together. I spent 95% of our first year deployed. Second...It seems most everybody is leaning towards the Submariner and to tell the truth, I've kinda been leaning that direction too. I went and looked at some second-hand ones today, along with a black dial GMT Master II and I'm really itching towards the Submariner. My wife wants to see both the Sub and the GMT to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. I'll probably end up letting her decide. Truth be told I can be happy with either one. Thanks for everybodys thoughts and opinionsThumbsUp02.gif.
