Couldn't resist the bracelet version when they had it as an OTV for the same $68 price. No solid end links on the bracelet, but for that kind of money, what do you expect? Other than that, it's probably one of the nicer Invictas I own. Doesn't hand wind, but like every other Seiko automatic, it kicks over with a couple of shakes and runs reliably. No complaints...

I got one of the new Pro Divers for a little less than that in a "daily deal" and, out of the watches I have, it is the one that gets more attraction and compliments. Last one by one Brieitling fan (has at least two). I do not know he would believe how much I paid... It is a really nice looking watch, miles ahead from the 8926 (which I have never used and will be gone soon, I think).![]()

I have not seen it in any daily deal since I got it, but "full price" at Amazon is slightly north of US$ 100, and you get a free backpack as well... Matches my car color as well :D Last edited on Sun Sep 6th, 2009 11:34 am by ral |

Have not bought an Invicta since I purchased Tony's 2015 (oh, so many years ago)...and have no desire to do so! I still have a few of their great ones (plus I have my Lupah Classic to remind me that even the best of us can do very stupid things): I still have my 2015, Invicta Military Lume dial (2275) an original Executive (white dial) and a beater Date-Master that resembles a Rollie Explorer II. My problem is, even though I truly like the Exec, 2015 and Military, I am truly embarrassed to wear the name!

well the OTV Invicta Prodiver landed and imho they hit a homerun...only 2 weak links in that the crown does not screw down and lacks that snap to it when pulling it into the desired postions of operation and the lume on the markers is pretty much non existant....lume on the hands is pretty good thoughhand6.gif ...keeping in mind this was a $68. watch I have to say I am completely satisfied as it measures up to many of my watches costing triple and more...big plus is there is no Invicta etched on the case which makes this a perfect candidate for a Yao MKII dial and hands which I would think will accept the Seiko parts since the movement is a Seiko based movement....this case is really Awesome and I will post up some more pics asap! yourock.gif Attachment: 009.JPG (Downloaded 70 times)

a little update on the Invicta "Master of the Oceans" Prodiver....the SII NH25a movement is running fine at about +- 25 sec per day which would be considered pretty good for a inexpensive watch using one of these new japanese movements which apparently are a sister company of Seiko. The second hand has the ability to be backed up or moved forward when the crown is out which to me enables the user to set the time to within seconds but those of us who have been around know this was also able to be done with our Seikos...at least being able to back the second hand up but with these new SII movements it is much easier and a welcomed operation imho. The SII movement is actually nicely finished and has a cutaway rotor which can be seen through the exhibition caseback...now if only Invicta could get the lume right this watch may have been a best buy at $68. ...the lack of a screw down crown is also a drawback as I would be leary wearing it in the water even though it is rated at 100m...but you never know and it can not be wound although it winds in both directions on a winder....all in all a pretty good watch at a very inviting price....btw here is a link to the SII/Time Module movement guide which Invicta is now using in several designs... http://www.timemodule.com/sii/eng/download.php#nh ![]() ![]()
