Hey guys, I need you to help me out! What do you think, is the Zinex Trimix PVD too big for my wrist? I don't want it to look stupid goofy

For you to be able to make an opinion, here are some pics with the Deepsea, Triton, Panerai

Thank you

Jayo, the watches are just right for your wrist. My wrist is just 6.75 inches but all my watches are large. My smallest ones are 40mm and I hardly wear them. My faves are in 44mm to 48mm.

Nothing wrong with the Trimix too. I think it depends on your lifestyle. If you wear suits to the office, wearing a big watch might not be practical for your shirt cuffs. If you're in the field lots, like me, I go for the really big ones!!!

Wear them big, amigohand6.gif

thank you guys!

And another question about the PVD! Does it come off easy or is it hard so if you bump you don't see the steel shining trough?

I don't know why size is such an issue for most especially with this Trimix?....I would be looking more into why is the Trimix so expensive when it is made in China and houses a movement in the GMT version (eta 2836 modified gmt) that is used mainly by cheap replica watchmakers.... this movement does not exist in the eta catalogue and is not Swiss but Asian modified?....plus all the claims of it being a original design/ground up?.....other than that the Trimix is a great looking watch but then I have always liked the case design of the Rotary Aquadive from the 70's which it resembles...face4.gif

That's great info, Oscar. Good to know. Hmmmmmm......

The mesh on the Trimix posted combines to make the watch a winner and I love the look.

Jayo, on the PVD query of yours, I'm not sure. I recall seeing some traffic on other forums that if bumped or dinged hard enough, it chips off and you see some shiny steel underneath.

Pressed zinc oxide, not forged zinc oxide, they say is the best because it's black all the way to the other side. Panerai's elusive all black Radiomir Black Seal ( I think it's a phantom watch) uses this pressed format. Very sturdy and tough they say.

thanks, that is good to know! ThumbsUp02.gif

Good thing I bought the Nitrox for a reasonable prize! Or is this also 100% asian even though they say Swiss Movement (ETA2824)?

The movement is Swiss in the Nitrox but the watch is made in China....nothing wrong with that and I have seen some nice deals popping up on the Nitrox lately....Congrats Jayo! party.gif

I was the guy who had all his posts removed from that thread on WUS and to beat all I was banned for telling the truth about this so called eta 2836 modified gmt,not only were my posts removed but also those who also agreed and then some guy JoeS who could only been the owner of Zinex piped in how the movement was Swiss and I was wrong, who is this guy? does he know anything about watches and how come they complain about moderation here when WUS mods delete and ban at will over there for no reason and hide the facts about these asian watches that use fake etas.sorry for the rant but I am happy I found this place after reading about the Moray on that forum where they even claim to be the ones who are responsible for the success of Benarus.I hope I didn't break any rules but I had to get this off my chest  thankyou.gif

LMAO!....with all those watch experts there you would think someone knows or at least would like to learn! ....Erine uses his mods like henchmen to do his dirty work while he makes big $$$$ on advertising off the backs of the WIS who post there! mistake.gif...that's why he chooses the inexperienced WIS to be mods...they just don't know any better subtlelaugh.gif

Welcome aboard Aking! good to see another knowledgeable WIS among ushand6.gif

...we've all witnessed the comedy at WUS/DWF and have all been banned at least once from there :D....Ernie has banned more WIS than any other forum owner known....he is responsible for dozens of new watch forums starting up yearly and yet they have the kahonies to say we over moderate...if over moderating is weeding out the weenies, whiners, trolls and deleting repetitive posts because someone is too lazy to read threads and find the answer for themselves and 1 time posters who only come on our official brand forums to post a false accusation or complaint than I am guilty as charged of over moderating!!! subtlelaugh.gif

....everyone knows Benarus' success is due to the hard work of Ralf and Steve producing awesome watches at fair prices with super CS/QC and the loyal following they have here on 3T! yourock.gif

Aking...........first off welcome to the forum....dont sweat it. Joe is the owner of Zinex and a sponsor there. Quite natural for WUS to protect him since he pays in the thousands for space there. People gotta learn on there own. Most of the whiners there RE: Benarus are twits that drove Ralf/Steve nuts during the Moray launch.

Enjoy your time here.

thanks for the welcome oagaspar and tony.I feel better now and hope I can add to the already knowledgeable WIS you have here.I like researching watch movements of all kinds and already see that a lot of the members here are into the same thing, good to know about WUS and how they operate.I was not impressed and felt like everyone there tries to force watches down your throat. That place feels more like a sales forum than a watch forum.

just had my Trimix inspected because it ran 30 seconds too fast! The opinion of my watchmaker is, that there's an ETA inside but it is not regulated, theres dirt in it and it runs poorly! He said, he could fix it a bit, but for it to run perfect he has to do a makeover! I'm a bit disappointed!

Quite frankly this has been the MO for this brand since day one. Making cheap (not inexpensive) watches and selling them for top dollar. 3T was approached by this brand and staff made a decision not to bring them on-board as we were well aware of the nature of this beast. You should be disappointed and you should have the movement cleaned and regulated under warranty as imho, this should have been done prior to final assembly and delivery to you.

I didn't know those were reviews, O. They certainly can't be objective after you've been given the watch, and they do read more like detailed descriptions than anything critical. Isn't there an issue with the very moniker "Zinex"?
