That looks very interesting, does it come with lots of pictures? I love pictures of rare and expensive watches, as close as I am going to get to owning most of them. Thanks Simoncool10.gif

In regards to your question,Janner. Each brand is given the history and origin of the company and are listed alphabetically. The chapter on Omega is meticulously described by year, the material that the watch is made from and tells whether it is automatic, manual wind or quartz. The photos are stunning as every watch has a close up of the dial and movement. This is a very comprehensive book that is unique. No other book, that I have includes a Buying,Collecting and Maintenance Guide. As I've wrote earlier,Gene Stone went out of his way to also include a Glossary on Horology from A-to-Z. He even recruited high profile individuals such as Mort Janklow,Walt Odets,Thomas Mao, Jeffrey Kingston,Michael Friedberg, Steve Gurevitz,Felipe Jordao, Paul Boutros, Michael Sandler and George Cramer for their personal stories of getting involved with watch collecting. There are also Lists of Watches divided into Category: 12 Great Dress Watches 10 Models Whose Names You Should Know 9 Watch Brands That Are Less Expensive than They Look 12 New Brands to Look Out For 5 Watches That Are More Expensive Than They Look 11 Modern Watches That Look Expensive 12 Great Vintage Watches 8 Manual-Wind Chronographs 14 Watches That Are Fun To Watch 9 Watches To Make You Feel You're In a Cockpit 7 Great Manual Movements 8 Great Automatic Movements A list of Designer Watches: Each with there story behind the watch brand. Issey Miyake Chanel Ikepod Mondaine Max Bill by Junghans Alessi Watches Pierre Junod Philippe Starck and Frank Gehry by Fossil About Gene Stone is journalist,a screenwriter, book, newspaper and magazine editor who has spent the past five years (2001-2006) researching the watch industry and business. The author of more than thirty books and watch collector. It is published by Abrams and it retails for $40 USD. Cheers, Simon
