Just found this great vintage Seiko 1974 model 5216-6010 LordMatic SPECIAL .....handwinding, Auto, hacking, faceted crystal, hibeat....smallish at 35mm but fine with my 6.5 inch wrist..

nice looking watch  but why does the pic look like a poorly matched mosaic?  Things just arent lined up?

thanks...well, because the crystal is faceted and what looks like lines are the reflection of the faceted sides...look at this better angled view of the crystal!

No, not sapphire, but mineral glass, common back in the 70s! apparently these faceted models are often seen chipped on the used market, but mine must have been babied and tucked in a drawer for 35 years! (model was made in 1973!)

These Seiko vintage models 5216s are seldom seen anymore even on watch forums. They are smallish at 35mm, so many fellows by-pass them in collecting. But the feature set is awesome when you think about it: handwinding/Auto, and hacking with a hibeat caliber of 28,800bph.smile8.gif
