In my searches for ham radio stuff I came across these watches. They have black, brown or SS bands. Not a bad price either. http://www.mfjenterprises.com/Product.php?productid=MFJ-189RC

Neat inexpensive model there. Likely a citizen movement module, as here in Japan radio control watches are everywhere including wall clock versions...amazing the prices the USA can sell them for! Not sure what the 2 pushers are for but possibly for resetting watch time to atomic time? Let's say your battery is changed...you would push one button to activate atomic signal.?? I had the Casio G Shock Atomic time model. And at certain times of the nite, the watch would synch with the atomic signal in southern Japan.goofy

1 pusher would be for time zones and the other for a backlight. :) ...a few of us jumped on these for $20. with analog/digi, full function chrono/alarm displays not long ago....they are nice to have nearby for just setting watches imo.hand6.gif http://www.timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=17988&forum_id=1&highlight=atomic+watch

Ive had a couple Atomics, (one casio wave ceptor and one TSI Global) and I have NEVER figured out how to set them. I sold the casio and Im getting rid of the TSI as its absolutely frustrating for me to not be able to do it myself. Oh, and I have no delusions, I know its User error. face4.gif anyone else ever had issues setting an atomic?

an atomic sets itself when you set it to your timezone which is easily done by using the pusher and setting it to a city in your time zone... for example I live in Cleve. so I set it to NYC ....most atomics have all the major cities listed in every time zone and all you have to do is use the pusher until a city comes up in your TZ and leave it there...the hands and digi will automatically move to the right time.hand6.gif the only exception to what I said above is if you own a Japan only model which will not set to the Atomic clock in Denver ...this is a mistake many WIS make when purchasing certain models and something many WIS fail to tell you when selling them on the forums after they can't set them in the States!:(

I dont know how you select a time zone on this one? It is analog only.. no digital. They also sell digi's. This one only has hands. Now I am curious. Maybe its just GMT? Last edited on Mon Dec 21st, 2009 01:13 pm by scottran |

on the anolog versions one of the pushers will move the hands to different time zones when it hits your time just stop it...this is the one I bought for $19.99 when it was a 1 day deal and use it to set my watches I wear daily... http://www.nywatchstore.com/cawaceatdian3.html
