I love my CaliHai and have been debating getting a vintage blue Q....I have not owned or worn a quartz in quite a while. Anyone else have both? Do you like the quartz?

I like the quartz my wife gave me because I have to...otherwise, it's purely mechanical for me. To me, that's were the "soul" of the watch is!

Yes, I think you can. I'm really not a quartz guy but I picked up a Q and it is one of my favorite watches to wear. It looks great, is just about the perfect size for me, it's super comfortable and I never have to worry about it being wound or the time being off. Plus, it's rather unique looking. I do not think you would be disappointed if you picked one up. ThumbsUp02.gif

The majority of my watches are auto or mechanical, that said I do have a handful of quartz and I have no problem with that...the biggest reason I don't have a lot of quartz is there are not as many quartz watches that interest me.

Although I prefer autos, the Q got me. I really liked the original BaliHai, but didn't pull the trigger on that one b/c the look is too similar to my Benarus 'cuda.

I am very impressed with the Q. Fit and finish is tops. And the quartz is great for grab-and-go. And Chris is a great guy to deal with.

Here's a pic of my Q on mesh...

I have both and it is very much worth having both. Battery is very long lasting and it wears incredible. I will say the Bali is hard not to choose but there are many times it just makes a more confortable choice with the Q. Quality is just as good.

I'm another mainly mechanical watch guy who loves the Q.  Something about it just looks really good to me.  And after wearing pretty much nothing but mechanical watches for the past year, the ticking second hand actually seem kind of novel to me.

I will say that I've gone from quartz-averse to being pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to movements now, as  I just spent the big bucks on a Breitling superquartz.
