Ok, I started collecting just a few years ago and as the numbers grew I picked up watch boxes to store them in.  At first I kept them in order of aquisition...then by style....brand....dial colour...country of origin and well- quite frankly I just don't know what looks/works best!  How do you organize your watches?crap.gif

I've also got some vintage so I feel like I should divide it between vintage and newer and then sub divide the two groups.....I know,I know I'm over thinking this.  Imagine my despair when I get numbers that rival Oscar!

That's why Oscar has to keep so many "under the bed" subtlelaugh.gif

I have to admit that I don't have much of a system. The nicer ones go in a watch box, and the beaters are relegated to a drawer.

I am currently doing it by brand. I have 2 invictas, 2 seikos, and then a mix of others. I have an automatic case that holds 8 and it's filled. The sea devil doesn't fit on it's leather case though so it sits openly.

All quatz in one box. All orange dialed divers in one box. After that things get a bit murky... I have another box devoted to fliegers and yes, I have a box with nothing but Invictas or Slop purchases...subtlelaugh.gif

Very good question. I have no particular organizing order at all.

What I organize systematically are my straps and bracelets, according to lug width. Then my odds and ends like spring bars according to lug width, screw pins according to lug width again, screws for wir lugs, buckles according to buckle end width, rubber straps according to lug width, cleaning cloths for steel and gold, tools, loupes, magnifying glasses, spare crystals etc.

They are all in smaller individual plastic boxes with silica gel and all that goes into a bigger airtight plastic case. Under the bed they go guarded by my 2 pet cobras and a hot-headed menopausal scorpion dog smile.gif.

I use 6 watch boxes, and I arrange them by "average wrist time". The ones that do not get any wrist time go to their boxes, to get ready to the departure lounge.

I have a paltry twenty something watch collection, though...

Mine are organized by height within weight. Just kidding. I have no system, except that they are not allowed to tough one another. I just have them sitting on the mantle or on a book shelf. I don't have that many so I just keep them accessible.

I've got a quartz box and an auto box, and a couple of two watch winders. I try to keep my collection in these boxes/winder...once the watches start spilling out of the boxes, I know it's time to consolidate...!

Absolutely no organization, size of watch and size of slot in one of 3 watch boxes will determine where it goes.

If I have any sort of organization it seems to be by which one's are in high rotation.
