I'm looking at purchasing a Jazzmaster GMT H32585531.

I understand that this watch uses the 2893-2 ETA cal.

I travel a lot for my job, and wear my Omega Seamaster GMT on every trip I take. I am looking for a dressier watch, and this watch fits the bill.

I see that my Omega Seamaster GMT uses an 1128 caliber, which is a different movement.

I absolutely love that the this 1128 caliber allows for independent setting of the hour hand forward or backwards while keeping everything ticking (via 1st crown postion) ...and then of course you can hack the movement to set the date and then overall time and GMT hand via the 2nd crown position).

Does anyone know if the 2893.2 movement work in the same way?

In other words, I would find it less than ideal to have to advance the time forward or backward in the way a non-GMT watch works, but having to change the minute and hour hand at the same time.

I have the Hamilton Navy GMT 2893.1 the hours click on the hours and are not loose while setting the time hacks and the watch comes to a stand still. If you set the time and then set the alt time setting it is not free moving, it will click to exactly an hour difference from your main time setting. This is done from a different crown. Thats the best info I can give you from my model watch.
