Nice and interesting. I've been reading a shorter story before, where the tests wasn't described as well as in this article. Thanks for the link! But at the end, what we all want to know is: What was the name of the brands who failed. I guess that they wasn't named there, to avoid future accusations of deteriorating the image of those brands...

Good question, the only other one i understand that was tested was a Breitling. maybe someone else has a better understanding of the others that were tested. Ok, I found back this old post that I've been reading last year while I was researching about the Speedmaster... It names the brands in the test as "Elgin, Benrus, Hamilton, Mido, Piccard, Omega, Bulova, Rolex, Longine and Gruen. Of theses only 3 where selected for the comparative evaluation testing : Longines, Omega and Rolex (Omega movement : Omega 321 , Rolex movement : Valjoux 72 , Longines : Longines 13 ZN) Here's the thread... http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=132

Good read and new for me, it was most interesting. Now here is another interesting fact. "The Sturmanskie watch manufactured by the First Moscow Watch Factory was the first watch in space.
