">>>here's the original 1st generation Diamond/Meteorite William...circa 03'...still own it but never wear it..."<<<

Saw the above comment by Oscar in the daily watch u wearing forum. It prompts me to ask the question:

What is the nicest watch you own that you never wear or hardly ever wear?

Until recently when I traded it, my Baume & Mercier Hampton Milleis got very little wrist time the past 3 years.

Although it's by far not my most expensive watch, I absolutely love my Oris BC Pointer Date. It's the 40mm SS/Gold (plated) version and has a big ole acrylic crystal, which I absolutely love. The pictures just do not do it any justice. It's hard to explain, but you have to see in person. I want it to look like new forever...

The second one is my 100 yo Waltham pocket watch - RR case. Just stunning piece. I don't have a chain for it, so I'm paranoid it's going to fall out of my pocket...

I have a Tissot Le Locle chronograph with the Valjoux 7750 movement. It's understated and great looking - just doesn't get a lot of wrist time for some reason...

This Russian VE Red Square gets zero wrist time. Very well made and nice in white, but I hardly ever wear tanks.

My Zenith Elite 670. Wears a bit little on me and I'm rarely if not never dressed enough for it...
I wish I could see the 670 movement back as it's a little wonder and one of the thinnest "auto" ever made.

I would have to say the GJVB Moon phase with the Swiss Eta 7751 is rarely worn.

all because of the strap that digs into the wrist...bad design but great watch....its hard to replace a great looking strap as it suits it well. Like my dad said about the trousers "Flares"....."they are meant to look good not be comfortable".

I have a Movado Museum watch that I never wear.  I got it as a gift 20 years ago and thought that it was the shiznits and wore it all the time.  After the watch bug bit me and I started in on the automatics I haven't strapped it on.  The battery has been dead for four years I bet.

You might want to pop out the battery as it can corrode and ruin the contacts, etc. It is still a nice watch.

I have two...  The Rolex seems small and being an elementary school teacher I don't wear suits very often so id does't get a lot of wrist time... The Omega I used to wear all the time I believe it is late 60's hand crank... It was from my dad. I'm not sure why I don't wear it.  Enjoy, Tony

Too bad, Graham. I like the design on this one. Very similar to the venerable ML profile.....ThumbsUp02.gif

That makes 2 of us, William.crap.gif I also don't get to wear my Zeniths for the simple reason that they are just too small (40mm) and too thin (sub 9mm). What a shameoh my.gif

Shame on you, Oscarsubtlelaugh.gif. That Corum design is great and very much like the Hammie Ventura. I think that Corum would be great dress watchwowzer.gif

Only the new Zenith Primero are over 40mm: Too high for my wallet... I like this one but I wish it was a bit bigger: It wears little on me.

While we're on the subject of watches too small; I've outgrown my 1500 Tag. Got it almost 20 years ago; wore it for years, it still runs too...

I wear all my nice watches. Even to work. My friends think I'm crazy, but if I get a watch it's to wear, not be a safe queen.

I'm with the guys in the "too small" camp.  I have a restored Omega Constellation from the late 60s that is under 36mm.  It's beautiful, but since I started wearing my 45mm Zenith, anything under 40mm looks too small on my 8.25 inch wrist.

Happy to share.  It's a Chronomaster XXT Open.  I haven't seen too many Defy Xtremes out in the wild....if anyone out there has one, please post some wrist shots.
