I was 1/2 watching Slop last night and again Eyal Liar and CG embellished again.............

They are to the point where they are talking over each other now:?

Back to point....the 2 bafoons clearly stated that the new 500 m diver was Swiss Made and clearly it was marked Swiss Movement:( I have include a bit from Oscars previous post to confirm that that watch is manufactured elsewhere.

But it seems to me it would be quicker and less painful if the house was broken into and you were knocked unconscious by sadistic home-invaders!

Tony, I think you could come up with a better way to fall asleep. On the subcons' level you could be the victim of brain washing. They could be turning you into a watch sleeper, one day you are walking down the street and you hear a bell.... Bam, you start buying " swiss movement watches" while swearing up and down that they are swiss made. Heck.. you may even land your own cable shopping show. Oh the humanity of it all. I think if you continue this self destructive behavior, myself along with your friends here on the forum will have to stage an intervention. Which will  include taking your watch collection and dividing it up equally. Tony ...I implore you " Just asy NO!!!":P:P:P:P:D:D:D:D

Ok...Back to work for me

SNBC really ruined the whole Invicta thing for me...I had 2 9937a "Swiss" and night after night of hearing the BS between Skel ton and E yal got to be a bit much for me. I think they cheesed it up for Invicta.  I just began to associate the brand with Kraft and Instant Jello. E yal stumbles over his lies like a convict. Jim is waay over the top with his embellishments. It just does not look to good these days.

I do watch however for the comedic value. Not too mention Jim's exxagerative intonations when discussing all things Invicta "MOOOTHER OF PEARL!!!" etc etc

Sad thing is Jim knows exactly what he's doing. . ..Eyeore does not have the luxury of a working fore-brain so his antics can at least be understood if not excused.  Jim has made the choice to sell watches and be a demi celebrity for as long as he can make it last...If that means he has to whore it up with a jackass, well that's what it means....

Nothing worng with selling watches. It's a cool gig. However, to employ a cheesy style in the process...well, that's wrong. :P

I guess sales in general requires the antics of a used car salesman. I would perhaps go a less blatant/obvious route.

" Wow! You know...A Quartz watch for just $399 ...THIS is simply unheard of folks!"

JS's Latest Theory on this is..and Get This ! is that Maybe In the Rush To get them Produced they(Invicta) forgot or didn't Have the Time to Change the Dials to Say Swiss Made instead of Swiss Mov't....Now This Came to me Second Hand So I don't Know if it is True but My Source is very Good and Reliable...but Imagine Anyone Believing This Humongous Load Of Crap Just like the new Ti Russian Diver Blooper ..where the caseback clearly Says "All Stainless Steel"...but again JS said it is a Prototype and in the Haste to Have It Ready For the Most prestigous Watch Show of them All..Basel..they May Have Used Existing Parts? to Finish Itand the Pure Insanity is that Some People Believe This Load ...

The blatant misrepresentations suggest they are not going for the true watch enthusiasts, but the lonely housewife who is looking for a nice gift for her 18 year old son.

Not  beyond SNBC: "This is a watch...that people will notice...This is a watch that will make people think you are the CEO of the company just passing thru and helping out in  the mailroom!"  "It's just that amazing!"

Well...I think I have posted this elsewhere, but I guess it bears repeating...

If you buy a watch from a Clown, who acts goofy, and has a rep for being liberal in his definitions and descriptions, and who embellishes only to then make a tactical retreat when caught. ...Is it not reasonable to expect that you might possibly have a bad outcome from that purchase??  I have bought, god knows, how many watches. ...(enough to qualify for an all expense paid trip through the factory in Hollywood).  I have seen a continuous decrease in the credibility of the brand.   And, I don't see anything I'd wish to buy even if I trusted the brand.   Most recently, I have bought a GD and a 3 hand SubAqua.. .I can't bring myself to unwrap and wear them... I'd feel foolish wearing a watch from a company that I so heartily detest...I used to say I didn't like the company but was OK with the watches...

I am done with the brand and it's tv evil twin..... If the seller looks like a clown, acts like a clown, and has a clowns reputation...expect a clown watch in the transaction.

So true guys... As tempting as some of the designs might be, I think the whole SNBC insanity has cheapened Invicta. I coudl not for the life of me get over the engraved cases.  I know the 9937 was a nice value for the $$$ but I had to sell it.  It's become a brand associated with late night jibberish and lonely 2am shopaholics.

For those that own a few, I don't blame you...some pieces are worthy. I just lost it for the whole Eyal/Skelton skit bit.

You know Tony...bashing Invicta really isn't fair...it's like grabbing the crutches from a little girl and then laughing at her when you beat her to the corner.   Okay, so I did do a little "editorializing" over on WUS...but that's different...I own a real bike :) :)

Regards, Ted
