After the dust up post over the Tempest watch, and Oscar brought up this H20 custom, which was soon to debut, I took another look at them and went for one..

I ordered the brushed  case & bracelet, with white dial and black hour/ and orange minute & second hands.

There's just some real hard core German, industrial  engineering, going on with it that appeals to me. Clemens stated that these watches have passed 6,000 ft WR test.. That is pretty impressive .

Does anyone else like them and have one on order? what are your thoughts on them..

Cool, Joe! I agree: they look great and I like the idea. I've been kicking it around, but do think it will be just too big for me: 6.75" wrist.
My fantasy was to get one and anodize it...maybe I'll be able to try one and find it's not too big.

Joe, I tried at the pre-order for something very similar to your choice but encountered issues with my PayPal shipping address with Clemens. So...it's a no go for me.

I want to see some reviews and completed watches/purchases before I bite. I like the design.

Funny, A guy I know on another forum, who is from Australia, is also having issues with paypal, he tried to buy a watch I had for sale, but couldn't complete the paypal transaction.

Thanks, amigo for the kind offer... but I won't make it to the lower pre-order price of H2O.

I got in on the Kalmar the very first day the preorders went live. I've been looking forward to this watch for quite sometime.

I received my tracking number yesterday. Initially UPS said that it will arrive on Thursday, but I just checked this morning and the watch is already in Philly. Hopefully it'll go through customs pretty quick and get here today. If not, I can wait until tomorrow.

I was very tempted, like the concept, customization ability and all but in the end I just can't deal with the UTS-like lug design. I'd have to be able to try one on first

Ah ah! I bet there is a long list of folks waiting for me to buy it and then flip it :) I love the dial and hands and case aside from the lug and gotta love the customization options. Very tempting. Looks like it'll be a quality product

looks like there will be a hefty UPS brokerage and Customs fee due at the door upon arrival...up to an extra $100. ...this is very unusual imo...homerthinks.gif

The duty fees are really a bummer, but what can you do? I've waited this long for the watch, I'm not going to tell them to return it. I'll see about disputing the charges, but I'm not holding my breath.

I had that happen once before with a watch purchase from overseas. I can't recall which brand it was but it really pissed me off.  This really should have been made clear to all who purchased...mad.gif

it all depends on what Clemens/h2o put on the info sheet....if he put actual retail value of the watch components then the charge could be high...if he went the conventional way,as most of my watches arrive via fedex, ups overnight, as the sample below, then the cost will be very little to notta, which was the case here...note:below was the info sheet that came with one of my watches that cost the same as the h2o,the vendor/shipper kept the costs to the very low end, btw, the watch had a eta in it also, but since the watch was made in China, like the h2o,that was what was put in the "movement country of origin" slot..ThumbsUp02.gif

You guys in the US are lucky, not being used to pay duties on imports.  Here we pay duties on every item imported, regardless of value.  The customs people have wised up too!  Regardless of value stated on documents, they will do their own internet research and determine a value for tax purposes, unless you can prove an actual transaction via ebay and paypal receipts.
Bummer, and that adds to our cost factor, bearing in mind our currency is quite weak against the $, Euro and Sterling.  oh my.gif

Here you are guys. This is a fun watch. I was worried about the size, but it's smaller than I anticipated and wears well. It's thick though. I love it.
