Thanks for sharing, O. I like the watch's design. But just wondering what this thing will time....or am I missing the point that it's not time anything but it's a statement of what TH can build? Isn't this about 1/3rd the speed of light?ThumbsUp02.gif

I will buy it solely for the mechanical marvel that it is......
In practice there is absolutely no way that a human can time anything that accurately by pressing buttons!no.gif

I would say that sometimes, the only difference between 2 high speed records can be some 100th or 1000th of seconds.
From what I see ,this 1000th second watch is just made to set a more accurate timing than before: You could theoretically even chronometer a bullet on long distance with it.
The only problem is that your finger on the pusher will never be as accurate as a sensor triggering a digital chrono: So this watch is just a funny toy.
300 000 Km/second is the speed of light amigo... This is a simple chronometer calculating time between 2 points not a chrono with tachymeter scale calculating time/distance relation or speed between 2 points: What do you mean?

the Mikrotimer 1000 is capable of  1/1000th accuracy...this is the 1st time this has been achieved in a mechanical watch. There are plenty of quartz watches that are available with 1/1000th accuracy, such as G-Shocks,but never before in a mechanical movement...that's 3.6 million beats per hour, that is the marvel of this watch imo..WOW! What this new movements technology does for the watch world is open an avenue to building movements that are more accurate, by being able to raise the bph,and not necessarily how accurate it may time something imo, like a race,....the article below is informative as far as the movements achievement, and what it is capable of.
