I just got this watch off the 3T sales corner. It is a mint Invicta executive watch about 2 years old. I went to set the time tonight and the stem came out.I'm not sure what to do with this model Invicta. Its a Unitas movement. I don't know if is simply a matter of re-installing and re-tightning something or if something breaks that lets the stem/crown pull out. |

I do not have an exploded view of movements at the house. I will look when I go to the office Mon. afternoon. I will stand behind the watch as I said I would. It is under warranty any way. I just do not know if it has a release button or a screw type retainer. |

I was just thinking that a lot of members have this watch and maybe knew a solution. I am not peeved or anything. :) |

Unscrew the back off and it should look like this.![]() Then tighten the screw that the screw driver is pointed to (clockwise) it is not a strong man competion so do not try to kill it. ![]() The crown is now fixed. If you do not feel comforable doing it send it back and I will, just let me know. I do not know what skill level you are, but when you are putting the case back in the cradel tighten the screws in a cross pattern and do not snug then tight the first go around. Just be careful when you play with that screw. If you make it too loose, you screw up the 'keyless works' on the dial side, thus making it a more detailed repair. Marc |

Thanks for the great instructions. No problem with the spellings. I got it. It only took a tiny bit of a turn on the screw to "fix" or tighten down the stem. It didn't seem to want to turn any more than that, so I just stopped. I will now put it back together per your instructions. Re-tighen cross pattern a bit at a time, etc. Thanks very much! Congrats Michael! I'm inspired. My OGII had the screw-down crown strip out, and it seems to be the stem threads instead of the case threads. I have another OGII which I don't wear as much, and I might have to attempt to swap out stems. I'm not sure if it's worth it to send it in for the $50 I paid for it long ago. Have to figure out if the risk is worth the possible reward. I also don't have any watch tools, so I suppose by the time I got the stuff I needed, and took the chance of voiding my warranty in case something serious happens, I'm probably just as well sending it in, and taking ANOTHER chance w/ Infecta's repair service. We'll have to see. But I'm still impressed :cool: David |

Thanks David. In your case, I would send it back to Invicta. If you have no tools, it would be the best thing to do. From what I understand, Sterling Time is now doing Invicta service so you have a better chance of getting the watch repaired correctly. Also, for the watch you have you would need a special case back tool to open the watch up. And, you would need to replace the O-ring (maybe) if it is old for water resistance. Best let Sterling Time do it unless you are wanting to invest in some tools, etc. |

That's kind of the way I'm leaning. My only other option is to swap it out w/ the crown/stem from my other OGII Black Face. I don't wear that one as often. My main issue w/ sending it in is that it's not covered by the 5 yr warranty. I bought it from some guy named Tom Braider(!!) a couple years ago. I'd heard that at one point Infecta wasn't registering the extended warranties by model, so I thought I could send it in under the warranty from my black face, but then I realized they wanted me to also send in the receipt from SlopNBC, which references the other watch. Do you think anyone would notice? David |

Oscar might be better to answer that question. I think I read here that Invicta under Sterling Time is honoring the 5 year warranty regardless.
