O7 may have been there, but Helson did it Right...the Helson is much truer to the original...no comparison between the 2 imho!chickendance.gifchickendance.gif

I can agree with that: There's better attention to the details, specially the crown system.
But personally, those monocoque cases give me bad vibes for the service...
Even it seems like I repeat myself...

I have not had a Helson yet and had 2 O7 watches. But from what I gather in comparison say with cars it would be like a putting a Ford Maverick against a Ford Mustang.

I personally drool over the original 600/1200 Ploprof..and have considered the Ocean LM-7..but never pulled the trigger on it..something never felt right about buying it....but the Helson has got me drooling all over again...I will give this one some serious consideration...cause I know an original Omega is just plain out of the question.

Ty Chris...Peter did an outstanding job on the 600...it wears better on the wrist than the Plop 1200 due to the height being lower...it came with the Omega style mesh, and faux Iso,but I put mine on a genuine Isophrane...it's not an Omega, but in this price range it is a fantastic value, and a chance for everyone to experience the feel of a vintage Plop 600 imho.ThumbsUp02.gif

That's a clean one I must recognise! A tip-top poor-man Ploprof 600 with a nice finish.
Looks better than the ocean7 variation: And I don't say that because I want to promote Helson. It's just being honest.
Without this mono'cock case I may have pull the trigger...Hmmm....
Anyway, it deserves a chicken dance

That "thing" looks great.you rock.gif

It looks a bit like wearing a Land Rover Defender on your wrist. rugged, square, a funktional tool, no BS-doing the job kinda watch.  thumbsup.gif

I'm really in love with the 70ies Omega's. Recently scored an Omega Speedmaster Mk4,5 with the Omega caliber 1045 (Lemania 5100) and just love it.

Ive always been a fan of the original Omega Speedmaster Ploprof versions and also ofcourse the big blue ;o), but just can't effort it and actually am not willing to spend 4.500 to 7.000 euros for a watch...

I my opinion the vintage Ploprof (and so also this Helson) looks better as the New Omega  homage. there is just somthing about this vintage flair that sort of makes the design more understandable and more logical.

Must start saving up money...

Cheers,

Tom

I know i'm kinda late to the party but checking out the Helson pics, it seems like the ploprof homage is a winner.. I've always felt that the case would not feel comfortable but the wrist shots that i've seen all but prove me wrong.... To those purchasing this one... Kudosthumbsup.gif
