Years: 1900-1920
Functional lines: STANDART

I proudly offer for sale this
Military – WAR NAVY – Style timepiece example with DARK BLUE (NAVY) MILITARY STYLE dial, SQUARE CHROMED STEEL CASE and CLEAN IWC).

This timepiece features a new handsome
DARK BLUE MILITARY – WAR NAVY STYLE dial in excellent condition. This gorgeous, men’s wristwatch by IWC features a 60 minute checkered outer track border, main Arabic numbering MILITARY – WAR NAVY STYLE, new custom made, fantastic, build specially for this excellent IWC movement. The lugs are in great condition while the winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. The case has CLAMP with lever for crown. The CLAMP is signed REC – T.M. Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is nice and clean.

This beautiful wristwatch has the vintage
Original movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch. Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time. Manual wind nickel plated high-grade mechanism has THREE FINGER BRIDGE, FIVE RAISED & SCREWED GOLD JEWEL SETTINGS, END-PIECES of ANOTHER STEEL for the ESCAPE WHEEL and SWAN NECK MICROMETER REGULATOR & BLUE BREGUET BALANCE SPRING. The movement is signed International Watch Co – SWISS – 6 ADJUSTMENTS – 18 JEWELS. Also is movement serial number #620,997, dating the watch to 1915 as per company production records. The movement is a Lip. c.73A – 17lig. H4 caliber.

Note the
CLAMP above the crown with lever. You pull this lever OUT when you want to set the time and press back IN when finished. You wind the watch up the regular way via the crown.

It is fitted on a new 26mm black genuine leather strap
with contrasting white stitching and chromed steel buckle that has a great military look to it.

Diameter (with crown):        54.00 mm
Diameter (without crown):   46.00 mm
Watch crystal diameter:      40.00 mm
Thickness:                          17.00 mm

This fine watch winds and sets smoothly and keeps great, accurate time.

Because of the vintage nature of the watch, I cannot guarantee its absolute time keeping accuracy even if they are in good running condition and in some rare occasions may require additional adjustment

SOLD

only thing IWC is the movement and its' beat up enough it should be spare parts...

Still there are lots of old pocket watches out there to turn into franken wristwatches...

An homage to several watches in one! Interesting work! The first one O posted is very nice. Second one from hammer is more like the cushion cased Paenrai Radiomirs. Might have to keep a close eye on this guy... Cheers and thanks for posting! IanM

I would've never guessed... This is a really interesting article O... How much did it go for?

Now William's link takes me to the same watch only changing the brand to Omega whIch only confuses me more... So who did invent the Panny Style case!???homerthinks.gif
