Just introduced in the Newsletter from everyone's fav, JIMBO. I actually kinda like this model. Especially the non-chrono version. To me, it is the best looking version they have put out in this series. Now, I have my armour and helmet on, so start throwing the barbs and rocks. I like a lot of the Invictas...but it doesn't Change the Fact that 'Beauty is Only Skin Deep":P:P It's What's Inside that Counts :shock:,and Still NO CS/QC ....JMHO :P |

It seems that lately Invicta can only come up with watches that are moderately interesting. I wish they would kick it into gear with swiss automatics. I know that's asking alot *SIGH* |

I agree on the Swiss autos. Invicta could expand the 9937 line to include new color schemes at the very least (i.e. a yellow dial, etc.). Just think what they COULD do with a re-vamped Swiss Diver line and maybe some sub $500 simple styled military and dress models. Just take a look at Roberts and Steinhart for examples. |

When you are just throwing together parts that someone has manufactured some were, how are you going to do any thing any diff. than the other guys. Some pieces are unique, but the quality is hit and miss at best and god forbid it not work or break. If you change manuf. and they own the parts design, you have to buy it or get a new one designed (is easier than it sounds in large scale). Running just a few CNC machines is easier (if you make a mistake only mess up a few) but expensive due to the human labor (not much of in large scale production). Foot note: Most plants in China have there own designers and work up there own prototypes by modifying existing drawings. A prime example is the Oceanaut and Corvette CR-203 same watch production facility (still do not know who). Nisimov and Oceanaut did not work up the designs from the ground up. I think that's a nice lookin' watch in the non-chrono version. I am assuming the movment is Miyota. I would consider it with a swiss movement...and sapphire cyrstal. This appears to be Miyota and mineral?? Pax |
