It is not that I like kicking a horse when it is down, but anyone notice that only one Inv. item sold out and that was the our top value.  I did not watch any of the shows, but I just check up and see what products are selling.  That is the first time I ever saw that happen.  Come to mention it Croton only sold out one item.  The items from both Co. seemed very similar as far as production tech. there may be a connection of some kind.  SWI only got one hour for the entire event, but they have the weekend shows coming up.  Between the Internet and WSS things may be changing.

Foot note:  Inv. had 8 Hrs. + the our top value presentations that is a lot of time to not sellout product.

From my point of view, none of Invicta's new offerings over the past year have made me want to get out my wallet. Many of their new watches seem to use a multifuction/subdial movement. I find that I use the date feature of a watch often enough that I don't want to have to squint at an itty bitty subdial for that information. So, I have passed on models with that movement out of hand. None of their other new offerings have sent me running for the phone either. Jmho.

Didn't/Don't watch eyal anymore, but did see intro of men's? diamond pave.  Don't know how you gentlemen feel about wearing one.  Had a couple of million "real" diamonds in it--geez.

Caught a bit of Lior with some chick this afternoon.  Now, while not terrific, he brought some nice pieces to the table--Concord, Baume & Mercier, Burett, and some Movado's.  Happened to tune in just as one of the Movado's sold out--don't know how many others may have.

Give me Lior (and Judah from the past) any day of the week; however, not with YKW.   They are nice people......my 2 cents.  :)

I've only been into this WIS stuff for a year and a half and if I'm getting tired of Invicta's designs I can only imagine what all of you experts are going through:shock:

Your experience is not uncommon. I went through the same thing. At one point, I had 18 Invicta watches. Then I sold everyone of them. Now, I have 8 again. I don't think I will ever get back to owning 18 again, but I do enjoy the models I have now.

I do like some of Invicta's new offerings. So, I won't close the lid on my Invicta buying. I'm just more cautious about what models I collect these days. :)

I think most 3T members would agree with you concerning Lior. He runs a good operation and has a good reputation for backing what he sells. Judah was a bit hard to take at times with his "look good wearing jeans" comments all the time. But, I believe he is a good person and geniunely interested in what he sells. Judah has been on QVC lately selling one of Invicta's low end lines. I actually kinda miss seeing him on TV with Tim Temple. Lior too!

Inflicta has Inflicta'd themselve's (crack design team - or design team on crack?  Inquiring minds want to know!)

....and SNBC's sleazeball reputation and high return rate (highest in the industry) is catching up with them.......Any organization that would continue to employ, and publicly promote, a known con-man deserves to fail......I don't know if they are still running $25million a year in the red.............but damn, I hope so!

What goes around.............comes around!

Ken by a portable do you mean a hand held?  We set up a wireless network at my home when we moved the design portion of the business there, due to the requirement of needing so much more space (we all still fight over the parking spaces that will never change).  Makes having a personal life fun though, people in and out at odd hours, and everyone thinks my left overs are there for them to eat, but that is another story.  Do hand helds have the band width to work?

Judah's at the Q????  Man, he must be down in the dumps!  To go from what he had with Tim, to SAH until it closed up shop about a week ago, and now the big Q must not make for happy times......or much of an ego-booster either. :(

There was a certain comeraderie among Tim, Lior, and Judah that no longer exists anywhere.  Gone for good, I guess.  Lior seems a real person/a nice man.  The quips exchanged betw. Tim and Judah I found priceless.  Yeah, Perlstein and his airport stories.  :D

Piece of trivia:  about a month after YKW showed up at slop, I asked him when Judah would be showing up. He told me that "Judah had moved up the ladder and would no longer be doing the same kind of work"!  Gee, an untruth!

I have wondered what actually took place that kept him from returning to slop.  Who didn't want him there? etc. Most of us assumed he was just waiting for Tim to appear and then would join him.  Well, that's never going to happen, I guess.
