Anyone know off of the top of there head if Seiko just do the production and assembly, or was J. Springs affiliated with Seiko at some time in the past.  The dial is great! :D

That is the first watch site that I ever have seen that mentioned ISO.  Meeting ISO standards on a drawing and manuf. floor is the hardest part.  Labeling to ISO takes more time than the drawing its self some times.  I was taught ANSI standards in school. I hope ANSI is still not being taught to day.

ANSI- American National Standards Institute (Eng.)

ISO-International Standards Organization (metric)

There is a lot more to it than just the Eng. system vs the Metric system.  Not even domestic producers use ANSI any more because so many parts are produced or shipped globally.  They have come together in more recent years and made some compromises in labeling but ISO is the only thing they should teach in schools.  That is why a person making hand made limited editions has a lot easier job.  They do not have to deal with large corporate structure and so much international law.  The product gets lost in the Bull Shit.
