As we all know, shopping channels give you the standard 30 days to return bit. Apparently, Slop has been tightening up on returns. Someone I know purchased another watch from them. When it arrived, it had that little mylar tag attched to it with a new enclosed "warning". It was written on a piece of notecard sized, textured paper with the word STOP at the very top. It then went on the tell you (actually, it took 4 paragraphs) to be sure you do not remove the tag or you will have to keep the item. Right. I'm going to wear my watch for a couple of weeks, or however long, with the little tag dangling from it. Are they nuts?!?!?! |

They have been using them for a while on higher priced watches. On metal bracelets they come off when sizing so you see if you like it or you can use a needle to push the two teeth in when they put it on a clasp. Since Slop falls under KY law, being a common wealth and not a state items that have been sold and returned can be repackaged and sold as new. For those that do not know Slop is 6 miles from my house. Last edited on Sat Jul 8th, 2006 01:38 pm by e.avery |

We are a 12 hrs. drive from 70+% of the US population good for shipping and drug trafficking. That is why we have the largest FBI office in the state, more restaurant's per person then any city in US, and 7 of Al Capone's men all moved here after they got run out of Chicago. |

I think this is great news! I think one of the main reason so many people have been getting bad watches from sNBC (but not the only reason-- they may indeed be crappy watches from the get-go) is that people could get a watch, wear it, abuse and damage it for a month, and then return it-- only to have Slop put it right back up for sale without even checking it first. |

If I remember correctly it is only held together like a sticker and is easily peeled :P...and Like that is Going to Stop Slop from Reselling a POC :P |

I do not think anyone is getting the point. The returned merchandise can be from the other 49 states, like all returns from everywhere. It could have been a returned product from the jump folks. The return does not have to be from a consumer it could have come from higher up the ladder. If slop is doing 2% of your sales then doesn't that sound like a preconsumer lot defect or odd lot rate. They need to do something to stop people from wearing a high end watch to a party and send it back to slop the next week.. Oldest trick in the books! |

I have never done any thing like that, but will size it and wear it around the house for a few hours to see if I like the feel and there are no defects. |
