What do they fashion dials from in the $200 to $500 price range in watches. Plastic, metal, enamel over metal or something else? Also, anyone know what keeps the lumn on the dial? Does it stick on its own or is there a glue laid down first? Thanks!
Runs the gambit from what I have seen from brass, stainless, to stock sheet metal. The applied pieces on the better dials are installed and some type of weld is used to hold them on ( they are welded or brazed from the back ). Others use self adhering markers. I bet this is just the start of how they are done.
