If the description of the watch does NOT say screw-down crown, can it still be one? :?     My latest arrival simply said quick-set date..........

I had already treated it as a non-screw-down when someone said he thought it was one.  Does that mean I've wrecked my less-than-24hr.-old watch?

TIA

It either has a screw down crown or not TC....if it has no visible screw threads than it wouldn't be one...and if it arrived and all you had to do was pull the crown out than more than likely it doesn't have a screw down crown as they are shipped screwed down and not open...the only way Damage could be caused to a Watch with a screw down crown is to wear it in Water with it unscrewed..or by stripping the threads :) If the description of the watch does NOT say screw-down crown, can it still be one? :?     My latest arrival simply said quick-set date..........

Well, let's put it this way.......all I did was pull it out without even thinking about it.  Thanks for the info and the part about the water.

Thanks, Oscar

Or, you could've ruined it by being strong enough to rip the crown right off the threads. Did you hear a metallic scraping noise when you pulled the crown to set the time? :D
