Croton's a staple on SNBC ... agreed?

I was channel surfing last night, landed on HSN as they announced CROTON's debut on HSN ... I stopped to listen.  Big doing's ...

I thought that was odd ... SNBC would 'share' a vendor with another shopping channel.  I know Invicta does it's thing w/one or two other channels but it's under a different brand name.

Surprising, no?

Croton has been a regular on other TV shopping networks for some time. The Shopping Channel is one place.

Croton is also on Overstock, Smart Bargains, etc.

Yeah, they're hardly exclusive ... LOL ... but I was surprised it was under their name.  I was surprised it was a shindig ...

I should have stayed up to see who the vendor rep was ....

Wait a minute, what am I saying?

Croton is always entertaining on TV. At least David Mermelstein is. I don't care for much of the Croton lineup, but they are a good company (support-wise) and they pretty much know and understand their market.

Don't be surprised if Tim Temple reappears on one of the other Shopping Channels

Absolutely - agree w/you there - DM is passionate & is knowledgeable.  I don't care for the line much either but I have purchased a couple fashion watches over the years. :)

I just wouldn't necessarily make it a point to tune in to watch Croton. But DM wouldn't be on both channels - that would be unprecedented, no?

Come to think of it, didn't Lucien Piccard sells on one of the other shopping channels as well?  And unlike Invicta, IIRC, it was under the LP name.

I'm hoping.  There just isn't anyone better on TV to talk watches, IMHO.  Any one of the shopping channels would be lucky to have him. ;)

When Croton was on SAH, the vice-president of Croton was the vendor (have already forgotten his name).  It may be the same fellow on HSN.

When SWI was on HSN, it was Lior's brother who was the rep for the company.

I remember that now ... read that somewhere.  But did SWI sell under SWI on HSN while on SNBC/VV?  Different products?

Word is and this is only Rumored at this Time is that TT will be returning to continue what He started for one of the other Shopping Channels Personally ..I can't Wait..every Watch I bought while TT was at WSS has increased in MSRP/value and not one CS/QC issue with any one of mine I'm hoping.  There just isn't anyone better on TV to talk watches, IMHO.  Any one of the shopping channels would be lucky to have him. ;)

Don't remember if it was under SWI, or not, anymore...been too long.  HSN and "SWI" were not a good match and didn't last very long.

They seemed quite uncomfortable and very unknowledgeable about the "high-end" pieces he brought.  They were/are? more used to $19.95 - $49.99 unknown brands; and, as I recall, he was bringing in the same brands as were seen at Slop, but different pieces:  i.e.  Seiko Military but not Seiko OM, Cartier Santos, but not the Tank Francaise.
