in your gut that the guy is a time waster? Just completed a transaction and in my gut knew the bonehead would come up with some stupid excuse he didn't want the watch. Something about the bracelet screws appear to be stripped...."appear" sent 3 extra links and he needed to put in one:( I'm sure there were 2 others that should be fine!

Seems to be a lot of complaints lately from other Forums of people similar or agree to buy then never complete transactions etc:X

Think I'm going the E-bay route from know on...I always seem to get more money anyways:X

Yeah there are alot of time wasters out there. Is seems people buying on the forums expect everything they buy to be showroom floor new. Never mind the fact that most people don't read an ad in it's entirety. Good Luck and sorry to hear about your buyer.:?

I'm getting "bezel kickers" lately too. Really pisses me off. I sent one guy three e-mails in a three-day period, and he had the nerve to say, "I never received a reply from you, so I bought a different watch. I even checked my junk e-mail folder." Unfortunately for him, I saved all three sent e-mail messages and sent screen shots of each one. Not much he can say in response to that.

I have added him to my blocked senders list, so I won't have to go through that charade again with him.

I had a really nice Oris tt1 sold on E-Bay and the guy said his "Oris A.D." looked at my pics and said it was a fake because it doesn't have the rubber bezel they currently come with on Oris' website!

I sent him links to many sites, even A.D. sites showing the exact watch I sold him but I guess he thought I had cleverly set up all these fake websites all over the net...

He just didn't intend to really win and PAY for a 900$ watch I think....Luckily the 2nd high bidder wanted it for like 10$ less.

I feel your pain Tony.

My dad owned a hardware store in Manhattan when I was growing up, and watched him deal with the hardest customers. Some people you just can't imagine are serious!

So now, I get those same people as customers. I'm grateful to get the business, but its usually not worth the headaches!!! I've had people tell me I'm selling 'faux Trias' ??!!?!?!?:shock::shock:

Thanks for your post! It reminds me that I need to contact ebay with a non-paying bidder alert for a deadbeat. :X I don't get it when people bid, win, and then refuse to pay.

ebay has its people as well, tho its different since you can make them pay or file complaints, you can post someone as whatever on watch forums if you wanted to I guess.  Ive had a couple of people that have never paid and acted really interested then disappeared, sucks but its really cool when you do sell a watch and the person that gets it likes it as much as you did.
