It's an amazing watch, in my opinion.  The fit and finish is equal to watches costing twice as much. :)

I really love the textured dial, and the toothy bezel.  And the indices with the chrome borders are super sharp.

(Oops!  I just noticed that there was a piece of the plastic left on the bracelet when I took these pictures. :P)

The case is especially nice.  Sleek and formed to the wrist, yet still big and beefy.  It makes it a very comfortable watch. :)

Finally, there's the solid and heavily built bracelet.

That is all! :) Just put it on and thought about what a great watch it is.  If you're thinking of buying one, go for it!  You won't be sorry!

IMHO the Knights and the SKXA35 and 133 (may be wrong on the model #'s) are superior to the Monsters. (double blasphemy!!) I have owned all the Seiko divers and the only ones that I have sold are the Monsters. Sure-they are an easy sale but there was more to it than that. I just am not a fan.

I agree 110% on the Knights. I own all three. And, I used to own both the black and orange monster. Used to. The Knights are just more versatile and they glow every bit as bright and long.

For about the same money as the Monster, I'd rather have the Orient diver in your Avatar. I have both the black and blue versions and I much prefer them to the Monster. If Orient would wake up and put out an orange or yellow version, I grab one of those too.

Thanks, everyone! Glad to see I'm not alone in my opinion! :) Although I'm not selling my Orange Monster.  However, I may mod it some day.

Another watch I like better than the Monster is the Orient Beast. I have my second one on its way - the first watch I've ever purchased twice.

I've always thought the Monsters were overrated. I just sold both of mine and don't think I'll terribly miss either one.

I do like the Orient Beast, but the stock bracelet that comes with it? Please. It's like a pencil neck supporting a head that requires a size 11 hat.

I keep thinking about getting the blue monster just cuz I figure I can sell it later but I just can't bring my self to do it.....

I'ts just never "done it" for me... I guess I should own one just to be sure but I don't think I'm missing much....

I'll chime in; the Knights are great watches; Oscar sold me my first about 15 months ago and it's still one of my favorites; I still like the monsters too and they both get wrist time; as for the Beasts, I'm with Craig; the bracelet, at 20mm is just too small--they need at least a 22mm to fit the case!

Re: The Beast Bracelet.  It's actually one of my favorites.  It's very comfortable and flexible, and I actually like the way it makes the watch head look bigger than it is.

To each his own! :)
