Why would Rado choose to use titanium for the fold over portion of the clasp on  new to me Diastar? :?The rest of the watch appears to be all SS.

Well piasano the bracelet is definitely solid links, the case back says "scratchproof" model # 658.0837.3 and here is a picture:)

Thanks:) I'm thinking the use of Ti is for strength because of the way it snaps shut...Ti might retain the shape better and keep things snug:)

My Diastar has solid links and a Titanium clasp also.  Diff. style links but similar build.  The case is the hard metal that is Tungsten or Titanium-Carbide.  Hope it helps any, I would say it is due to the strength and flexibility of titanium is the reason to use it.
