SERIOUSLY. This would be humorous if not for the dozens of unsuspecting buyers who get caught up in the hype. I can't fathom that 100% of watch forum participants would not be aware that you never buy these watches until the pricing goes thru its typical cycle. You know that despite any comments to the contrary, 98% of these are simply going to continue to decrease in price until they hit their real "worth" pricing. And considering buying from home television is a sure sign that you need to have your facts in order and your watch "jones" in check. Seems that most of those who pay attention have unraveled this little mystery and are aware of the caution needed in buying this brand. The next month's NEW products will be a take off of the old ones, but with a new dial material, or new hands, or strap choices or something easily added or subtracted, BUT the pricing will have risen back into the stratosphere of goofiness. Face it. The real attractiveness of this brand is the low pricing for the supposed quality. You can certainly enter the lower level of the hobby with little dollars expended if you pay attention and use your wits. Then you gotta decide where and when you are going to wear your new purchase!;) Raise the MSRP now.....we're gonna have a sale this weekend!:P:P You deserve what you get if you have not heard and heeded the multitudes of advice, warning and comments about this brand and their relationship with television shopping outlets. Use the coupons, the value pays, the free shipping and EVERYTHING else you can find and get yourself a good, inexpensive beater watch. Then YOU win. The above article was ghosted by Simon Delaplane. He assumes NO responsibility for content, accuracy or truth in the assertions made. He did correct the spelling and the amount consumed by the actual author at creation. Say what?:? That looks like a Sector crown protector. I wonder if they are building this. BTW: IT looks like Invicta is getting a lot of COSC movements. http://www.fhs.ch/en/news/news.php?id=399 |

I learned that lesson and it was an expensive one. Don't be the first one on the block.:D Even the Ocean Ghost LE can be had for approx 50% of ShopNBC's selling price. Of all of Invicta's watches that should be the most stable because of the gold content. The SubAqua looks pretty good at $799. |

What is happening to Invicta? I used to really love their watches and now all they are selling is mass produced stuff. The diamonds are worthless. In their older diamond watches they used 3.5pt diamonds. Now they just use chips. Price is up quality is down. I'm still waiting for them to make something worth buying again. I have a feeling I will be waiting a very long time.:D |

They are a real bargain compared to most watches. I first saw them in Germany a few years ago. I have one of their solid 18K coin edge models and it is as well made as anything else you can buy. Since they have moved to Geneve their movements are decorated per the Cote' Geneve. They are really nice. Probably the nicest watches that sales channel is selling. I think they would do much better promoting those and the Edox over the other stuff they constantly push on it's customers. It's just my opinion, but, if you're going to buy something to collect it should be worth collecting.:D |

That may be the biggest waste of Stainless Steel I have ever seen. Who would have thought that someone would take a $50 flea market watch and turn it into that monster? I wonder what else we have to look forward to.:D FYI The dropped from $13,999 already. That was only a few hours. By next week it will be $699 Last edited on Fri Oct 7th, 2005 06:55 pm by RandyG |

I saw the watch last night on the show and I must confess that it looked pretty nice, but again the price is ugly and ugly and ugly. I would price that watch between $450.00 to $500.00 maximum because of the movement and again because of the many problems we heard about the movement you'll be taken a risk buying the watch. O.A.
