let me simply say that RandallM (RandallWatch@yahoo.com) just reneged on a deal on a Vintage Seiko 7016.  He quoted a price on WUS Sales Corner.  I accepted the price.  I asked him for what form of payment he would like.  He sent me his paypal email address.  I immediately paypal'd him the funds.  He refused the funds stating that he doesn't take credit cards.  I then asked him to explain to me how to do otherwise and also offered to send him a Cashier's Check.

The curt response received from this POS was "The deal is off"!  I don't knoew if this unethical  scumbag is the same guy that does watch mods and runs the Seiko Citizen Trading Forum associated with SCWF , it may just be someone trading on his name.

This is not about not getting a watch I "had to have".....it is about unprincipled dirtbags who show up on forum to hawk their wares.  In my world, a man's word is his bond.......apparently not so in RandallM's world!

Many of you have done business with me and know that I conduct myself honorably!

I have keep an email trail if anyone would like verification of the sequence of events.

The real ignorance of this POS is that he did not state anything up front concerning special payment requirements, not even when asked.............he simply rejected the payment and cancelled the deal!puke.gif

I'm sure he is somehow related to JS!

Yes and no, he originally listed the watch for $165.  He then reduced it to $145.  I offered him $125 and he replied that he just lowered the price to $135 on the Sales Corner.... I then agreed to pay him his full asking price of $135 and asked him if he wanted paypal or some other form of payment.  He replied by sending me his paypal payment....I paid him IMMEDIATELY and he rejected it some 10 to 12 hours later with some bogus crap not mentioned nor made part and pacel of the deal previously.

Not sure, but I think he simply got a better offer and reneged on his commitment....there is no other real reason for him to cancel the sale.  Bottom line, he lied........sorta reminiscent of Eyal and JS!

I'm beginning to believe that it was a different Randall than the one on SCTF........Mostly, people do not accept credit charges because they know that the charge can be reversed for cause.  And even though I offered to send him a cashier's check, that would mean he would have to reveal his address.  This leads me to believe that the guy is a scam artist who will not deliver what is paid for, leaving the purchaser with little to no recourse.

Under some circumstances, you can dispute any type  of payment via Paypal. I had to do it once on a non-delivery issue. It got resolved shortly after my contacting paypal.

Some people think they don't get a charge from Paypal if the person transfers funds via their bank account. T'aint so. Paypal charges you regardless.

actually Sasha, I think that only holds if you have a premier or merchant or business acct. Personal accts don't get transaction fees if they come from a bank acct. (I think)

To the best of my knowledge, Paypal charges a fee for any type of transaction and no matter what type of account.

If that were truly what the problem was, all he had to say was add 2% (or whatever) for paypal........................I sincerely believe he is a con-artist.  Hey, maybe it's JS!

Thanks for the heads up. That interesting thing is there is no mention of bankcards for payments.
