Greetings fellow watch enthusiasts and valued customers!
There's big doings in the world of watches, and Shop At Home is at the center of it. I've looked forward to writing this premiere issue for some time now, and with more good reason by the day. This is without a doubt the most dedicated team I've ever worked with, whose drive and resources are attracting top brands from around the world. And there is more to follow--much more indeed.
It was important to all here at Shop At Home that our show launch with considerable impact, and to that end our premiere event will feature not one but three major guests appearing in just one show. Additionally we are launching a sweepstakes with a prize to inspire envy from watch enthusiasts everywhere (more on that later)! Our premiere weekend spans October 7 and 8, with live three-hour special events beginning at 9pm ET on both nights and with a line-up that should please both the seasoned watch collector as well as those a bit newer to the world of timepieces. Look for special pricing throughout this event; in fact, you can consider this newsletter advance notice to grab some of these bargains, as when they sell out, that's it. And yes, it's quite possible some will sell out without ever making it to television.
So, without further ado, let me introduce our guests for the weekend.
Gabriel Ibarra,
President of Oceanaut
Oceanaut is a well-known name among collectors of fine watches--especially among those who appreciate getting a great value for their watch dollar. I have known and worked with this brand and its president, Gabriel Ibarra, for several years, and I've seen how dedicated he is to building a superior watch for the money. One of the key features that many collectors appreciate is Oceanaut’s ability to not only give a value, but to maintain a value. Case in point, In 2005 Oceanaut increased in actual supported value by an average of about 60%--with one piece rising an impressive 103%--and not a single watch in the collection lost supported value!
For our premiere watch weekend, Gabriel is offering the ever-popular Pacha (NOTE: We are one of the few places anywhere where you can get the new diamond Pacha, much less at a discount, so if you’re interested, acquire yours now!) and Aviador, plus some examples that are so new, Shop At Home is one of the very few places in the world you can see them at all--much less at such a savings with a full factory warranty. Worthy of special note are their new high line series, predicated on platinum series Valjoux 7751 engines. True, this series isn’t built for the masses, but wow, what a gorgeous addition to an already exciting lineup!
My best advice to anyone considering an Oceanaut is to buy it now, as recent history illustrates that waiting will likely cost you more. One of the perks of subscribing to this newsletter is getting to shop ahead of the general public, and especially given our kick-off weekend pricing, here are a few Oceanaut specials you should seriously consider immediately!
Oceanaut Speedster Chronograph Stainless Steel Bracelet item no: our price: 25000186 $298.98

Oceanaut Mens Pacha Cobra Stainless Steel Bracelet Your Choice Dial Color item no: our price: 25000163 $649.00 The Watch Commander
He's the "original" watch guy on television, having begun specialty watch shows approximately 12 years ago, and it is indeed a pleasure to announce that he has agreed to be a part of the exclusive Shop At Home lineup.
The Watch Commander is known for presenting a wide variety of brands and prices (even ranging from under $100 to over $20,000!), with a high energy delivery. It should be fun watching him concentrate that into our show, where he will be presenting many brands, styles, and price points. Here is one which certainly should warrant early interest.
Orient Mens Sports Watch Automatic Movement item no: our price: 25000179
$129.98 Rick Kalina,
President of Jean Marcel
It is an honor to have both this brand and this guest exclusive to our airwaves. I consider Rick Kalina, president of Jean Marcel, to be one of my mentors in the watch world, and without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable and forthright men in the business, with over four decades of experience in the watch-building world.
If you wish to own a true crafted pure Swiss timepiece, this is by far your most affordable option, several thousand dollars less than the next least expensive. Jean Marcel is also one of the industry leaders when it comes to producing strictly “Limited Edition” timepieces, globally sought-after by fine Swiss watch aficionados; is one of Europe’s most highly regarded brands with years of Swiss watch making expertise; and has earned an International reputation for creating hand-finished timepieces of the highest caliber, meeting the highest technical quality standards required by micro-mechanics to create these masterpieces.
Each Jean Marcel watch is meticulously tested and finely hand-tuned by Swiss specialists for several days to ensure superb performance. Jean Marcel’s varied assortment of manual and automatic mechanical watches feature diamond lapped cases, sapphire crystals and exhibition backs, deployant buckle straps, and solid link stainless steel bracelets--features usually found only in the most expensive Swiss hand-finished watches.
Plus there's a Shop At Home bonus: Rick has included a $400 fully programmable Orbita winder with many of the models we will share with you this weekend! Orbita invented the watch winder and continues to make the finest in the world, including the winder for the $1.8 million Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon.
Here are a few of the Jean Marcels that I know from experience will be very sought after and are worth considering prior to the weekend event.
Jean Marcel Atlas Swiss Automatic Watch Tonneau Shaped Dial item no: our price: 25000052 $1099.98

Jean Marcel Magna Chrono Swiss Automatic Watch Brown Strap and Dial item no: our price: 25000057 $2099.95

Jean Marcel Mens Atlas Swiss Automatic Watch Brown Dial and Brown Leather Strap item no: our price: 25000048 $1099.98 Delmar
And last, but hardly least, proof that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great watch; Delmar is here!  If you haven’t gotten one of these yet, stop what you’re doing and buy at least one right now!  It’s made of Kevlar (as in, the stuff they make bullet-resistant vests from) resin, unidirectional steel back, Swiss parts movement, screwed-in steel back, and -- get this -- it’s 200 meters water resistant and under 50 bucks!  I’ve worked with this line for almost two years now and love it, and so will you.  Simply put, it’s one of the greatest knock-around sport watches ever!
Delmar Mens Navy Style Watch Your Choice Dial Color item no: our price: 25000202 $49.00 The Watch Show Sweepstakes

Special Offer

Of course, no grand opening would be complete without a door smashing can’t-resist-it deal, so here is one you must grab early.  These Victorinox models have retails that can reach as high as several hundred dollars, depending on the model, but anyone acting now has their pick for just 39.98!  No matter the model, mens or womens, color, etc. -- your choice for under 40 bucks, while they last.  And they won’t, because outside of this kick-off weekend offer, you can’t even come close to this price, so order immediately!
Victorinox Swiss Army V7-22 Mens Chronograph Watch Red Dial Stainless Steel item no: our price: 25000131 $39.98 It’s been great preparing for this first weekend, and there is much more to come. I welcome all of you to the new show and look forward to serving your watch and accessories needs for a long time to come. Please wear your new watches in good health!
Most Sincerely,

Tim Temple

Maybe someone could explain this to me. I've never understood the allure of the value pay or flex pay. If you pay with a credit card, you already have payment options. Seems to me that you have more options just paying the thing up front with your credit card. Maybe I'm missing something. On the other hand, I understand that the majority of people see a $1500 watch and won't even think about buying it, but if the see 5 payments of $300, they are more likely to buy it. I'm just curious, but does anyone here use the payments offered by home shopping networks?

It's better to pay $300/month for 5 months rather than $1500 up front.......It hurts a little less and allows you to purchase additional watches. Basically less money out of pocket per month is the best way t o go IMHO. I use vp's only on certain items but not all the time.
