Like I said "What's not to believe"...the truth is Jim has only been around Watches for 3 maybe 4 years...2 of them on Slop selling and 1 yr.prior to Slop that I know of on the Old Invicta Forum...so that is his "experience" and exactly what he stated..."any whole brand That I have seen anywhere"...fact is JS is No Expert and there are new Watch Enthusiasts who believe him to be an Expert..his biggest claim to fame so far is bringing a scale on the show to weigh Watches..but I believe TT did that 1st as well ! mistake.gif If I were a newbie I wish someone would point this out to me before I started spending my $ on made for TV Watches...all good and not to say it's a total bad experience but wouldn't you like to know who you are buying from?Like you said Pax...he would be better off saying nothing at all and staying off of all forums...party.gifHere is a pic of the most expensive Renato to date....$799. that was posted here...take a look at the IP plating on the last link to the right...a picture is worth a 1000 wordscamera1.gif

I agree most heartedly that it should be on a very limited basis, and that the typical stupid things they do, should not be posted here...................but this one was /is  snoopy1.gif ..........hysterical!!!!

I get most of my humor though, by reading Dragoon on WUS! Firegun.gif

I think you could find something absurd on any given day...

The goon is quite amusing and has it in for you as do some of the new kids at WUS. I love the"Why are you so nice at 3t but an a** here?" line of questoning. as far as I can tell you are consitently Ken... and that is a damn good thing imo!!

Thanks for the kind words.............I just like to call them the way I see them...and I try to back it up with fact instead of attempting to make my opinion fact.  But the goon is hysterical.  He is almost always wrong, insistant on his position despite the facts, and when there is no more wiggle room, attempts to take credit for the solution!!!:D

DPO22S is also hard on me, but, believe it or not, he picked up the Hammy Aviation at a TJ MAXX in Orlando for me (@ $175.00) and shipped it out here!

and...............thanks again.  I might also say it's a pleasure having you here at 3T (even if you do have "relatives" :D)!!!

You gotta love the crazy Canadian cur cousin of mine. I think he'll be posting some great new stuff shortly!!

Pax

Yikes - insert foot, chew slowly.

I'd be a bit more willing to entertain js's point of view if he had years of experience in the watch world ...  He doesn't, not from what I've read (honestly, not here) and certainly not from what I saw/heard when he slipped into his current position.  And that, BTW, is OK ... everyone has to start somewhere.  I don't hold that against him.  I watched him in the beginning - gave him/SNBC a shot.

BUT, the truth is (IMHO) he's light years behind some other watch hosts.  Certainly TTemple is one of them.  That's just my opinion.

He would do himself a big favor if he curbed this kind of blather and stuck to learning more about watches.  He may be on SNBC but IMO, he skipped the prerequisites.  He's not all that.

Promoting Invicta may keep him in good with a high selling vendor but FHS - Invicta is ONE watch manufacturer.  I don't consider it to be THE benchmark.  Who does?

And as someone said - If I were Mink ... I'd be ticked at the left handed compliment.

When it comes to the supposed popularity of Renato, I'll have to say that I just don't get it. I find the Beast design ungainly and clunky, and the newer models are more of the same IMHO.

Didn't JS write off Invicta as crap prior to him being hired at Shop? :D

Since I'm locked out of the other forum (for reasons I'll never know) I appreciate seeing some of his post.

I agree.  To each his own, I guess, but I just don't get the attraction to the Renatos... any of them.

If Invicta is king it doesn't really speak too highly of the kingdom. It sounds more like a welfare state. For the last couple of years we have all been promised good sound brand names. Besides Brizo has there been any progress with their lineup? I have been out of the loop and maybe I missed it.

I mean...no one beats Renato....except a few SWI sell outs but Invicta is king????? Well what is it???

He would just be better served by answering when , width and movement questions....unless he enjoys the taste of shoe leather in mouth.

What funny is people still hang on his every word...although fewer and fewerthumbsup3.gif

LOL I remember that. They were trying to rate watches by their mass. LOL I think now they have switched to the how many different names can we put on the same Asian watch marketing ploy.
