In conjunction with the switch back from DST, CBS ran a 3 minute vingette on watches, especially the recent proliferation of mechanicals. It focused on a WIS (author and collector), Gene Stone, and included some very pricey Brugets, etc. It also covered the younger generation's abandonment of watches in favor of cell phones, etc. Very nicely done feature. Unfortunately, CBS hasn't chosen to make the segment available on their web site (perhaps some encouragement from us would kick it loose?), but there is a link to Gene Stone's watch book. Anyone seen the book? http://www.hnabooks.com/product/show/3417 Jim Last edited on Mon Oct 30th, 2006 07:10 am by |
