There was another thread about this that I was going to add to, but I couldn't find it.

Hopefully, this will come out right, but I am beginning to lose faith in ORSA.

Oscar was supposed to have had his watch, I believe, by September 21...it is now late November and it is still "nowhere to be found".  I was very excited about the watch at first, but it seems every commitment made has been missed.  Delivery is nowhere and the price has creeped up from the original "less than" $500 to $600..............Although I thought $600 was high for a "start-up" ETA2824-2 based Dive watch (and much higher than their previous "deliveries"), I was willing to pay the premium for delivery by Christmas.

It looks like that is not going to happen and, I am seriously reconsidering the purchase of a watch from a company that cannot meet its commitments!  I am certainly not willing to pay the $600 price for a watch delivered after Christmas.........3T LE or not!

Am I PO'd about the broken promises?  Yes!!!  Understand, this is not the fault of Oscar or 3T.......this is about promises made and NOT kept by ORSA!

Wow!! I didn't realize it was this bad!!

I must admit to having my concerns all along... I am sad to say it appears the rap ORSA has been given by the WIS community is more true than false. Communication is key for a collabrative project and in my opinion, 3T has communicated its position clearly. The price has done nothing but rise while the targets set by 3T have disappeared. It seems a rather lopsided eal at this point and quite frankly, I have to admit Ken's comments regarding Christmas delivery are hitting home with me at this point. Expectations have been set and dropped. The iron is cold. There is no momentum except backwards... We have been playing a 1 step forward 2 steps back game for over a month now!!

I would hope ORSA and/or its representatives can answer this thread with some solid information. Be honest about what and when you can deliver the goods as it appears you are either unable to meet your set objectives or are overstepping when making cimmitments to said objectives. At any rate, we're entitled to information, honest inormation. There are a lot of vendors yammering at me for my Christmas watch fund...

Sometimes i wonder if Ken is living in my head...

I got the email and though Ihave my issues with DOXA I am trembling at the bit...

I seriously wonder if the FESTIVUS is going o get done any time soon and in any number beyond the proto/custom dial we've seen. I've seen bits and pieces but no watch as of yet.

I am disappointed to say the least and would hope our friends at ORSA would come forward sooner rather than later with realistic and attainable goals.

EH!...............

What is disconcerting to me at this point is all of the screwing around and promises.  We almost immediately settled on a design, that ORSA decided to change without concurrence........we got continuous options that later got withdrawn....we got promises of LE then no numbering then name dials then no name dials, quantities changed..............to me, it seems like and endless Monkey Frak.  For me to buy now, I want to see Oscar's watch delivered to him immediately and definitve firm commitments an dates!  Otherwise, it's all Smoke & Mirrors..........hopefully, this will all get quickly resolved and I will be thrilled with the end product, but bottom line....an LE 3T watch would be great, but there are too many other watch companies out there to do business with.

So, where do others stand on this???

BTW.........everybody...........please take a look at my thread down below that watch sale forum.  Thanks

Exactly right, Ken!!

I am hopeful ORSA will respond with concrete facts and not speculation as to what they can produce. Oscar is overdue his watch. I t remians to be seen what will follow and when. I would expect to know EXACTLY what to expect from the watch and when to expect it.

Speaking of doing business with other watch companies... I just did and that is my Christmas watch as I am quite certain ORSA will not produce the FESTIVUS in time for Christmas as we were lead to believe.

I don't like to kick a person when they are down, But I am with the rest of you guys. I don't have the money that this watch is going to cost. But I wanted it real bad. So I sold a couple of my watches to fund it. Now I'm out a couple of watches and no LE watch to show for it. I'm thinking of spending the money on another watch that I normally would not get because of the funds.:(

Oscar..................thanks for the update, and I will, of course, take you at your word...as I always do.  I only hope the people making promises to you are as scrupulous in their commitments as you are........but, again, I think the shipped price needs to be rethought!

Ken,
I've searched all the posts that I can find on 3T and can't seem to locate any that quote the cost of the Orsa 3T L.E. as now being "$600" as you indicate.  Where did this information come from?

If you use the "Search" engine on this forum you can get pretty good results.....I simply entered "$600" and looked thru the posts found.

I would like to ask all 3T members to remain Positive as I have been in touch with James and Martin in regards to the Orsa/3T Fetivus in the past 2 days and feel very confident that everyone will be more than Pleased!hand6.gif I have not lost faith in Orsa and have been told that I can expect a surprise as to the final Design of the Orsa/3T which will be a Surprise to me as well once the Festivus arrives some time this weekcool10.gifI can say that once the Festivus arrives I can devulge what I know about some warranty changes that will be a welcomed addition! The production amount which will be a true LE of only 33!...33 in keeping with the 3T tradition!watch2.gifThe delays were unfortunate but in any production delays are sometimes uncontrolable as this Orsa/3T LE is a very special production assembled in the U.S.A and has made several stops at different companies and has traveled from Canada to several locations in the U.S.A...  many should know when e-mails and phone calls are used between  parties involved as well as approval ...this takes Time... and yet still completed in a Timely manner imho!...earlier Posts,Prices and Timelines made by James were done Enthusiastically and with the information that was available to him at that Time and in No way do I  hold James or Martin/Orsa Watch at fault for being as excited as we were and Hopefully still are!hand6.gif The proof will be in the Orsa/3T LE "Festivus"Sea Angler as I am very excited to see the Watch in all it's Glory shortly...which at that Time I will give My Honest evaluation along with Pics and a Review as I will be seeing the "Festivus" for the first Time myself ! Please remember this is Not a regular Orsa Sea angler run which is manufactured in one location and should not be looked at in that manner from a price point nor any comparison to past Sea Anglers!...The "Festivus" is available to 3T members only and was made especially for us in a run less than any other LE that Orsa has made to date.hand6.gif Thank You all for your patience and to James and Martin of Orsa Watch as all expectations will soon be Revealed and any doubts be put to rest!

Oscar, I am one of the biggest proponents of the Festivus but going back through the threads, we were given very specific timelines and pricing information as to how things would proceed. Enthusiasm is wonderful but does not make up for the inability to meet expectations which were set by James' post(s). To me this is fundamentally poor customer realtions. I am not overly interested in surpises either as the surprise may or may not be to my liking. I was quite happy with the rendering provided along with the timelines stated earlier. I do not believe this will be done for Christmas, especially if the custome signatures are going to take more than a few days. Quite frankly, I have reallocated the funds needed for the Festivus to the Doxa GMT Caribbean I expect to be opening on Christmas Day.

Please do not take this as my saying I am out of the mix, but I am skeptical, unenthused and frankly do not have much confidence in ORSA's promises based on what has occurred thus far. I do want to commend you and James for giving this a good go, but at this point I will believe it when I see it. Yo should have had your watch in hand at the beginning of the month and unless the thing is sporting a sapphire cyrstal and makes coffee, the delay you are experiencing is unacceptable, especially considering you made payment. I am worried this is par for the course with this vendor as rubber straps seem to be at a premium too. If you are in the business of selling a product, you should have all elements of that product avaialble before you take dollar one... empty expectations are hard to recover from and a reputation has and is developing and being reinforced by continued gaffes and excuses... After all we are cutomers and should be treated as such.

Just my opinion and sorry to say I am disppointed in the extreme...

Okay....................I will now offically change my outlook from "negative" to positive, woohoo.gif but disappointed !

The manufacturing process was their choice and all of the stars should have been in alignment before definitive timeline commitments were mademistake.gif....otherwise, the enthusiasm dies and expectations increase!

Enough said.......we will sit at the foot of the master and await his photos!!!! yourock.gif

I understand completely Mark!...I tend to live in the Positive and believe in giving second chances rather than dwell on negativity...but in saying that there are those that know I have been used as a doormat on many occasions until my patience has been tried or my integrity assasinated! So until then as you are giving Doxa that same second chance I will remain Positive and commited to the Orsa/3T Festivus.hand6.gif

Ya' beat me it, Ken!!

Here are the pix:

Let me reiterate I in no way want this to go oup in a puff of smoke and remain a supporter and anticipated owner of the Festivus. I wuld hope the most recent commitment ORSA has made to you will come to fruition. Having said that, I remain sekptical and will be more disappointed than surprised should the watch not arrive on time or executed properly. As always I trust and repect your judgement a to how this will play out. Your efforts and those of Orsa are most appreciated regardless of how far off track we may be... at least we've got a track to be on... And you are right that I am giving DOXA another whirl and hope for the best from them, too. I wish I could remain as optiistic as you, but the world has pummelled me into a cynic of the highest order... (don't feel bad for me as a side affect of the cynicism is a flair for the dramatic!!)

Please let this be a wonderful FESTIVUS.

Please keep us posted when that New Green Dial Orsa will be available. Also, who should I contact for a purchase. When I checked purchase from the web, it only tells about method of payment.

Can't wait to see your post about the forth coming Orsa on Friday.
