Well Pax it's like this....I do love that watch but after looking at it for a while it really looks like a dress watch and we gave up on ties at work for about four yrs now and my wife and I don't go out anymore so it would sit in my box. I would consider picking it up in the future on some sales forum for a couple of hundred less than new. After looking at all the Hammy chrono's this weekend that put me over the edge.................

Great question Tony and looks like a winner of a year's end for you.

On my plate to end 2006:

Hopefully this will find its way to me in 2006 as well:

Should be an Edox auto coming as well.

Goals for 2007:

I would like to see this become a reality but am more than likely alone in liking this Photoshop color butchery...

Less quantity and more quality. Grail watch (GMT Master II) if able to sell bike. Would like to ge into a SuperOcean (may be coral dial) or Colt GMT from Breitling and then perhaps one or two others. I most likely have to buy another Eddie Platts offering... There may be ticky tack stuff I like throughout the year too but I need to pace myself for the long haul...

Cheers,

Pax

I have to agree with you on the dressines of the Jazzmaster Chrono and auto, I think its smart to realize it may not get the wear it deserves and go for another you'll get more use and enjoyment out of...

Great news about the wife and the Moonie!! That's a wonderful thing. I can't wait so see what you end up getting and look forward to you posting them.

Peace,

Pax

What a list guys! Good luck for all, particularly for the Orsa. It seems to be problematic for a while now.

I would love to get one myself, but I think that I will wait on how this silver dial batch turns out. Hopefully I will see my favorite color (either blue or orange will do). on the dial in '07.

I'm probably the odd duck here but I'm looking for a Vintage Cal. 5626A King Seiko Certified Chronometer in super shape.

Of course if this watch were available I'd force myself to take it.......

Not much else on my radar right now.

Tony,

Thanks.  I ran a Challenge on another list about the 2nd Seiko.  VERY unusual watch with an interesting history.

Interesting question, James.  It looks to me to say "Stainless Steel" on it.....a "see-thru" back, perhaps?????
