You guys are right on...this Tissot is really something for the $230 I paid. Very cool retro Steve McQueen going into turn # 2 vibe. Anybody DIY? I usually do on all my watches...but for some reason, I cannot seem to budge the friction pins. As you know...I have no real tool other than a caseback opener...so I tend to rely on my GFs earing pin to push the pins out. Worked on all of my watches except for this one. Any tips? There are many simple houshold tools I have found to work .... as you said hammer and tack .....If you go to a hardware store you can find a jewlers hammer or a small hammer of any sort .... there are tiny screwdrivers and tiny punch's .... on the bay there are some kits to be had for 99 cents and then a freakin hugh ship charge |

Yeah, they sell an Item for ONLY 13 cents and charge $48 shipping. hahaha I will invest in better tools.. The hammer was handy in giving the pins that intitial bump they needed to move. No trauma to watch or bracelet as I am a freak about dings etc. |

Check your local Mcmaster Carr and see if they have a set of small screwdrivers suitable for jewelry work available .In this fashion you can avoid a"huge" shipping charge .James Hugh Haury Last edited on Wed Dec 6th, 2006 01:53 pm by James Haury |
