Bonus time is watch time in my house.

My candidates are kind of all over the place this year.

Which one would you guys pick:

A. Seiko 300m Marinemaster....I have wanted one of these for quite a while and the price keeps inching up.  Is it time?

B. Tag Heuer Aquaracer.  The cheap choice....I love the caseback.

C. Baume & Mercier Capeland S Chrono.  Another one I have had my eye on for a while.

What do you say??

Help a brother out!

I'd go with the B&M amongst those choices. I'd get the non-chrono version myself (just have no need for a chrono). The Seiko would be out for me because you can't hand wind it. Otherwise it would be a strong contender. Tag is Tag. I have never been too crazy for their designs. However, the one on your list is exceptional looking. Nice choice.

I also mentioned in another post here to consider the Marcello C watches that Island Watch has. Here is a link to the Marcello C site:

You can handwind that particular Seiko.  The Marinemaster is every bit the equal of a Rollie Sub in function and quality.

I like the Marcello C's too and Mark is a great guy to do business with.

Add another one to the list!

I had no idea Seiko made a watch you could hand wind.coyote2.gif

It must be a more exclusive model than most Seiko's. Thanks for the info. I learn something new here all the time. hand6.gif

I believe that SK Marine Master is limited to 500 pieces. I would get it if I could. Would you mind tell me where?

No problem!

Seiko makes a bunch of watches for the Japanese market that are much higher in quality than most of the watches we see in North America.

EDIT:

You can get it from Seya Japan:

Or

Higuchi Watches

Both ship directly from Japan.

I have held and played with the Seiko MM for several weeks now, trying to fall in love with it....and as you who know me know that I luv Seiko watches, I simply cannot get excited about the Marine Master......It's a $1600plus watch and, quite frankly, I get off a little more on the Monster...............That said, I vote for the Baume & Mercier.... Great watch from a great old line company!!!!

Well, I'd chose the B&M, but then I do love the Capeland design-- here's mine (LE #70 of 170):

Seiko...........if I was going to use it as a tool watch.

B and M for sheer looks and heritage. I agree with Mike, if you dont need a chrono, go with the diver.

Watchseller had one at a good pricehand6.gif

First off congrats on a nice bonus and the opportunity to pick up something so nice. I like all the watches you've got here...

Not much of a complications guys so I would take the chrono out thought I love the design. Very nice.

If the MM has been a desire of yours...get it. I haven't yet found my love for the watch but realize it is a Hell of a watch.

Personally I would go for the Tag. Very classic!!

JMHO!!

I like the non-chrono version of the B&M too, but the best deals I can currently find on it are at Overstock and Slop....not exactly places where I want to be dropping more than $1000 on a watch.....or anything else for that matter.

Foster were you not looking at a Doxa earlier in the year, if so they have a COSC 750 at the watchseller with the wrap still on it.  Out of those pics I would go with the B&M, the MarcelloC is a nice piece though, and Marc is great to deal with, and they do make some chronographs.

I was considering a Divingstar earlier in the year, but the new GMT proved to be too rich for my blood.

Thanks for the heads up on the C.O.S.C.....I'll check that one out.
