Jacky was trying to post an ORSA there for sale and it would not post.  He emailed the site and the response below......I guess they are making the rounds!

"You are trying to sell Orsa.  Orsa Brand caused many problems for MWR, so they were banned from sales on the PX.  That is why Orsa does not show up.

 It is not you."

Man, it's just so sad to read about what's transpired with them. I have an Orange Sea Angler and really like it. Too bad it's from a company that's not entirely on the up and up. Maybe some day Berg will com around. Until then the outlook for Orsa is pretty bleak.

I think a good question would be since alot of us have Orsas, will we be allowed to sell them here?

Theres no reason I can think of to prohibit us from selling, trading or buying one. After all, the ones that are already out there are very good watches. If people start to dump them on this or other forums at rock bottom prices, I for one will be buying them up.

I can think of no reason that you will not be allowed to sell them here.  It is not the watch that is bad (I assume since I don't have one), it is the company....reselling a watch makes no profit for the unscrupulous manufacturer!

I will probably be the 1st to buy one on the aftermarket!  They gotta be a whole lot less than the $600 (plus shipping) that was going to be charged for the "Bandit"....oops!  I mean "Festivus"!

You can always buy a black orsa for $375-400, Then have it sent out to have the dial painted with the 3T and your name, Then just mark the back with a felt tip black marker with what ever # you want out of 33. There ya go a L.E. FESTIVAS.!

Orsa was banned there long before the current issues arose.  This happened during Orsa's early days, if I recall correctly, because some of the early watches (quartz) were considered to be too close a resemblence to CWC, among others. The members (a great group of people) there are incredibly knowledgeable about military watches, and refuse to allow anything considered a knock-off or close to a knock-off to be sold there. The various "Ray" watches are also not welcome there, largely because of his use of hyperbole in his ads.

The MWR Unplugged forum is a great place for non-watch topics. I'm proud to be a regular there.

I don't understand. Why would you guys wear a watch from a company that pissed off everyone and is shady to boot. Makes no sense to me. Aren't there other watches from legit companies you could strap on your wrist? I mean why endorse the Orsa brand by wearing one?

When a friend asks you about the Orsa watch you have on, what'd gonna say? They're scumbags, but I got a great deal on a used one. Like I said, it makes no sense. cat28.gif

The new company seems to be Ocean7.  A number of us made payment this evening for the LM-1, which will be delivered next week. Pictures and reviews to follow.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, it is a totally different company.  Mitch, the owner, has a number of new designs that he has worked out, with some input from the forum, coming out over the next few months.  Those of us who have been in on the ground floor are very excited about our watches that are due to arrive on our wrists next week.

Where is the topic explaining this current round of "we're all mad at ORSA"?
I'm too cheap to buy one anyway but I thought this brand was the cool watch to have around here??

This thread starts out w/ info on how to order the 3T Orsa, but continue on and you'll be able to get an idea of what happened to blow it up.

Thanks for the link to that thread, I had not been following the progress of the 3t build so It didn't occur to me to look there.

I am sorry that that project fell through and I am sorry for stiring that pot!
