No cons on a Tag Heuer that I'm aware of. I have acouple here that are quartz and auto's. I don't think the Indy is worth the money though. On the other hand this can be had at a sweet deal

I've never been a huge Tag fan but I certainly do like the Autavia you're showing here.

I would love to get into either of these... what do you guys like better? The vintage or the McQueen??

I like them both but the Vintage really is something!  Its just what it is - pure.  The newer one is trying to straddle both sport and dress IMHO.  I like it but its not as clean and sharp as the Vintage, again IMHO.

I had a Tag SEL for many years - was great watch; I passed it down to my oldest son who now wears it as his daily beater of all things...  Am looking to snag an F1 in the future myself.

SEL series

I'm a big fan of there divers. Never break, always keep great time. I would like to pick up a Aquagraph with bracelet. Advice on tags: if you want it with a bracelet but cheese out and get the strap because its cheaper, Tag bracelets run anywhere from 375.00 to 975.00 if bought seperate. If you buy with the bracelet its only a small difference in price.

I have never cared for Tag watches. And, I really don't know why. I just never have. I do like the Vintage of the two pictured though. cat28.gif

I have always liked them. When i started to collect watches, Tags were at a very good price point, and jewelers gave a decent discount. Those same tags I bought are selling for more now than what I paid 10 years ago. The 6000 series, the super sea diver were my favorites. I never did like the SELs because of the crappy looking bracelets.

Actually neither did I, the bracelet didnt stay on mine long - I put it on the integrated leather strap and thats where it stayed.

I heard tell that CJ has glass balls:D

You may find one of the Autavia's for around 1200.00 new.

I would avoid Ebay though. I haven't had much luck on finding a good seller for the Tags. I have a number of links to Tag Heuer internet retailers I could send you. If I buy one this year, I'll be hunting for one from a ad.

Anyone remember a Heuer watch from the mid '80s that I think Sharper Image was selling in a catalog for around $300?  It had a flat black finish on the case and bracelet.  I think it was called Black Beauty.  Wish I'd bought one -- haven't had any luck finding a photo while doing Google searches.
