I hate to bring up old thread but this one bother me.  As some of you know I have a Doxa Military Edition that has been running + 15 second daily for almost 8 months. four days ago I adjusted the timing , for the last three days it it has been keeping accuracy of plus or minus 0, I just wanted +5 got lucky.

What really bothers me is this statement that I didn't believe at the time, and verified when I peaked inside the Doxa Mil Ed

"I  have been told by DOXA, in writing that the movements in the Non-COSC and COSC are exactly the same. The only difference is the Dial, and the COSC Paperwork. "

Not true it's a eta 2824-2,  but not a chronometer grade movement The spokes are straight  Eric Avery posted a picture of the Doxa chronometer grade movement a while back and the spoke flare.

Just for your infocool10.giftoon1.gif

Oh I forgot the pictures

I feel your pain Gumba and TY for the informative post!! hand6.gif I lost some faith in Doxa because of their false claims of using Chronometer  grade movements in all their Watches and then finding out from your earlier post and conversations that this is not true!coyote2.gif...for the $$$$$ charged you would think at least a top grade eta with the better anti-shock system would be used mistake.gif  I also have a hard time with their distribution of LE #'s and that they aren't disbursed in numerical order from 1 on up and that random #'s are sent so it's a crap shoot as to who gets a lower LE #!!!

You probably can't tell from the photos but they used incabloc shock system, good stuff.  What really ticked me off was when I open the watch to adjust the timing the micro screw was all the way to the negative position. Had to center screw and adjust lever close to nominal position. All adjustment was done by the lever, got lucky I didn't had to fine tune with the screw., this was  luck took 45 minutes.  Three day later still on the money. They must had a newbie watch maker working on this one. :D

If you really want to learn adjustment of watch movement, practice on a Russian monjina 3606 or 3609, this one will test your patients.:D:D  It is to sensitive, no micro fine screw on this one.  Around six month ago I did one it took me a week , I almost took a hammer to it, I wanted to beat it to death.:D

Now it only gain two second per week, still running like this.  If you master this one you can adjust any movement or just about.:D
